there is absolutely, positively no spiral mark of the 'Yellow King' on Reggie Ledoux's back. Lange goes out of his way during his second interrogation to mention that there is one. it seems to seal the deal for Hart & Cohle.
i'm not onboard with your 'Cohle as killer' idea but i think you're on to something with the "prisoner knew too much" comment. my problem is - i can't at all figure the significance of the find or if there's any significance at all. maybe Pizzolatto let one of the million balls he's juggling drop.
much better than inter-racial porn.
that's exactly where the investigation left off before Hart got the call on Reggie Ledoux. one of my favorite "True Detective" moments is Cohle's ever-so-laconic walk back to the car while Hart leans on the horn in frustration.
memo to the cast & crew of "The Following":
just went through the scene showing Ledoux from the rear a dozen times. there's definitely no spiral tattooed on his back.
apparently the Poe estate has negotiated an endorsement deal with the duct tape people. expect all new collections of his work to contain mentions of the product.
the hand grenade's growing popularity as a fashion accessory is genuinely troubling.
i'd buy that for a dollar!
so in the future unstoppable killer lady Terminators are easily disarmed by appeals to their feminine vanity & destroyed by the always reliable 'pulled the pin on the grenade in your vest' trick?
this show is beyond awful & Kevin Bacon is actually is one of the big reasons behind its sustained awfulness. he's the big-ticket male lead. if it weren't for his presence, "The Following" dies a swift, unheralded death somewhere in the middle of last season.
is it just me or is Walter Goggins starting to look a little too much like a harried Peter North?
the departure of Bleeding Gums Murphy in Season 6 of The Simpsons allowed for the emergence of Nelson Muntz. his turns as a romantic lead, budding entrepreneur, tragic fatherless son, & (sometimes self-aware) purveyor of physical abuse have brought depth & dimension to life in Springfield.
IFC: We were high at the time & fresh out of college.
how a scene like this DIDN'T end up in "Blood Meridian" is beyond me.
genius.
yup.
i was hoping Gerard Butler would be cast in the Lori Perry role with Triumph The Insult Comic Dog as Johnny Utah and Jenna Jameson as Bodhi.
yes.
