Well, I for one am glad that they got rid of the RIDICULOUS boob window.

I thought this was pretty strong. The Jane/Michael reunion was an interesting remake of the extended first-date scene between Jane and Rafael last season, when they spend the entire night just talking, and very romantic in both cases. Ditto the Jane/Michael pool scene mirroring several Jane/Rafael pool scenes last…
Too true!
Beautifully put. I thought the Xo/Ro breakup circled back in a brilliant way to Xo's original decision not to date Ro for fear it would cause problems in his relationship with Jane. Very interested in seeing the characters deal with that.
Yes, and the fact that Petra/Rafael isn't going anywhere at the moment seems like a big red sign that Jane/Michael's days are limited.
But Michael also made many "ahole decisions" when angry and lied about them during the first season. (There's also the fact that Michael's treatment of his own brother—having him take the fall for stealing cars, luring him back into criminal work in his jealous obsession to sabotage Rafael, etc—has been awful, even…
It was also a very clever recall of all the romantic Jane/Rafael pool moments from the first season (them falling into the pool together, the scene where Jane almost gave her virginity up to Rafael in the pool, etc.)
You forgot the part where Petra hired a call girl to drug his drink and set him up so Jane would find them in bed together, which is still my favorite of Petra's evil schemes!
I have not cheered a television character with so much enthusiasm or volume since…well, I'm not sure when. But the moment she realized what was happening and told Rafael where to stick it was FANTASTIC.
Yeah, and I like what they're doing paralleling Luisa's relationships with alcohol and Rose. I really do want her to face down her demons and find some happiness with a decent woman…
What a fabulous episode! The Latin Love Narrator was ON FIRE!
Yeah, I found the suddenly sweeping away of his supposed new girlfriend a shocking swerve, but I trust the writers to be able to pull it off.
That's interesting—since he's never been mentioned, I assumed he was dead. But it would bring up some interesting parallels with Jane's relationship with Rogelio; the Magda/Petra v Xo/Jane comparison was always pure gold.
Yeah, and the fact that Rafael/Petra currently still doesn't feel solid seems like an indicator that Jane/Michael isn't going to last.
Actually, the way Jane's Catholicism ebbs and flows in her life depending on what else is going on is the most realistic depiction of a religious person I've seen on TV. It comes up when it makes sense, but I didn't need a lot of here, given how thoroughly Jane and the show investigated the other reasons for her…
Complete agreement re the Narrator. He was on fire!
I can't tell you how hard I laughed at her delivery of “I do feel better knowing you’ve suffered a little.”
Always nice to see a G Valentine review here!
AS had a bunch of great facial reaction shots in this episode, with both Rosa & Pimento. One of my favorites were his eyes just sliding around in the break room.
THIS.
