It's disappointing to see this get weekly coverage and The President Show got one review for its first episode and that's it. I guess I understand, what with SNL being a huge generation-defining show that has been on for decades and decades, but still.

I'm NEVER going to see this movie, but to satiate my curiosity, does anyone have a list of the video game characters that do show up in the movie? And why the hell is a non-video-game-character Smurf one of them?

Seth may have talent, but he is squandering it by letting himself and his staff continue to write for the extreme lowest common denominator. Family Guy used to be funny because it riffed on cartoon and other cliches, and made silly pop culture references. Now it's "funny" because every second joke is precisely on the

I really really really really really really really never want to hear that song again.

Well, crap. I did. I missed a few minutes here and there of Hawk and Chick. I beg your forgiveness.

Day of the Peck. Maybe? I don't actually remember if he was drinking before he started talking to the spatula.

It was also pretty clever in that they never even show the movie theatre owner leaving.

The Draw Mohammed bit was a relatively clever bit in an otherwise mediocre episode. So much wasted potential. The political cold open, for example, could have been so much funnier… but just nothing landed. Ugh.

I thought SNL was an 18+ taping.

Soon enough it will be Mumford and Grandsons. Tee-hee.

I really love episodes where it's just the family and a few secondary non-school-kid characters. So I liked this one a lot. I don't think it fired on all cylinders, but it was sweet. The chalk canyon was the best part, especially how the lady chasing her gave up after Linda jumped it.

Based on the song lyrics, more like the Doodie Brothers… am I right? Am I? Anyone?

I hate to say it but Scarlett Jo kind of sucked the life out of basically every sketch she was in. Other then that I kind of liked this episode, though Weekend Update just seemed kind of awkward, like they forgot to finish some jokes.

Mm, well that doesn't really explain this.

Sigh.

Better use of angles for characters, too. Some of the unnamed other shows you allude to are almost ALWAYS stuck in 3/4 view for the characters, no matter where the camera is. I can hardly unsee it after first noticing it. Characters literally aren't facing each other even though they are 'supposed' to be. Bob's

I loved that scene. I thought it would have been a little bit funnier if the door had just closed like that without Gene's additional line.

The beautiful cacophony that was the Belcher kids' initial "band" was just great. The straw sounds were ridiculous.

Here I am! Fries is a bit late, though. Traffic.

I really try to watch new Simpsons, but I usually end up losing interest halfway or a bit past. Same thing here. Having NOT grown up with the Simpsons (it was banned in my household), I can affirm that reruns of older episodes are much funnier and just feel different. I can find new episodes of the golden years and
