What, Sessions is sweeping up now?

This, too. China's heavily involved in Panama and other Central American nations, so increasing their sphere of influence to Mexico would be an easy decision. Been interesting to watch over the past couple decades!

Disco lights at the ready!

Okay.

Just the fact that the A.V. Club has a guide to navigating the comic film universes says a great deal on its own, I think. It doesn't have to be to your taste, but to mine seeing a superhero movie that has a complete story arc is a nice change from the past dozen.

Entire character stories were beholden to other movies: neither Thor nor Hulk could appear in Civil War, so the movies that preceded it had to make sure they had motivation to be absent, and the only reason Wakanda has been mentioned at all was as a precursor to the upcoming Black Panther film. Using a film to set up

No, assembling stories isn't a problem - our library doesn't always get book series in in order, so you get what you can, when you can; it's more that I don't want to bother with a two hour film that's actually 47 hours long and I have to pay for in installments over decades.

You're probably younger than me too, aren't you? Dang kids these days, able to keep more than one story in their head at a time *grumblemuttergrump* …

What I'm saying is that the movie series are packed full of previews for and callbacks from other movies to the point of distraction; and too often they "end" with a message of 'sure, that baddie's down… but what about THIS ONE!?!?' Is there anyone who isn't getting tired of that?

Well, I'd argue that Logan is absolutely dependent on knowledge of the past, even if the story itself is isolated; however, you're right about Deadpool and GotG - but GotG 2 is playing some of the setup game, and I absolutely disagree about Civil War. Great movie, but I think you'd be missing a massive amount if you

Alas, they really haven't: they've been busily packing themselves with foreshadowing for upcoming events or carrying arguments over from past films and consequently stumbling over bits they feel MUST be included in service to this continuous universe-building.

How much am I allowed to write, here? WW has actually been one of my favourite heroes for about twenty years, now, so I definitely went to see it with my fingers crossed.

"Not Without My Urine!"

Oka cheese is much the same: smells almost exactly like a used cotton gym sock, but tastes quite mild.

"So even though Yoga Hosers is screamingly awful, it is a nice movie and that has to count for something."

The Canadian Ramen noodles.

That's the one!

"Oh, to be a fly on the wall during their dinner table conversation."

Violence is more acceptable than sexuality, though, so the networks really don't allow more now than they did then. Frank is dangerous and frightening and transgressive and all because of his sexuality, not because of his violence.
