If only the lack of threading were Kinja's only problem.
I'm not saying all criticism is invalid. But the normal desire to voice an opinion that stands out from a crowd is amplified on the internet. Internet culture is already one of constant complaining and nitpicking, especially when you can get positive affirmation for it through upvotes, likes and re-tweets.
Why does Kinja need to be fixed? I like being able to only see 3 comments at a time before I have to click to see 3 more, which are now in a different order than where I started.
No qualifications?! She has fuck, dammit!
This is where the show was headed from the very first scene of the pilot, which featured wights. The point has always been that wars and plots and thrones were childish diversions compared to another Long Night.
A third possibility is that it's still a really good show even if it's not as great as the early seasons, but people love to be the "jumped the shark" guy to stand out from a crowd. Because their actual enjoyment of the show is positively ruined by dragons traveling too fast or chains appearing without a backstory.
It's a magical world, I should really clam my tits…
They brought a sledge that presumably had supplies. It was covered so you couldn't tell what was on it, but it'd be silly to think a bunch of guys would go ranging north of the Wall with literally nothing but coats and swords. The sledge was abandoned by the time they fled to that little island in the middle of the…
Uh, ok.
No qualifications?! She has pluck, dammit!
Oh right, I guess it would have to be considering there was no other source of fire. My bad. In that case, I guess they need to take a direct hit rather than just walking through it or having it glance their armor.
Dragonfire is different from regular fire, just as dragonglass is different from other weapons.
You're just angry because she's a hero.
You're totally right. I can't stand the new Night King's face. He just looks like a frozen elementary school principal or something. The old one had this really cool sneering expression.
If you re-watch the scene where Jon Snow first took out a White Walker with Longclaw (I think it was in Hardhome), there's this terrific look of genuine shock on the White Walker's face when the sword doesn't shatter. It was a a nice touch considering how expressionless they normally are.
I assume that he's mentally/magically commanding his army, and that he couldn't do so while hiding far away.
sigh…
Yes, there's been some bad writing along the way. Let's not even talk about Dorne. But expectations are so unrealistic it's like perfection or bust. Yet even the nadir of season 5 was still more compelling television than just about anything else out there.
Hm, let's see…
