I enjoyed the combat but I know it's not for everyone. I always try to get the abilities that increase movement (dodge roll, fade step, leap) so I can bounce around my enemies and flank them better. Even when it's not strictly necessary due to being over-leveled, I find it satisfying.

I really liked Cassandra too. She reminds me a lot of Wynne, but younger and still finding herself. She's set in her ways and has very strong opinions, but she's willing to listen and compromise on various aspects, as well as admit when she's wrong. I think that's very admirable.

Funnily enough, I really did not like Mega Evolutions. They felt like they were there to pander to nostalgia rather than truly improve poor Pokemon (although they did, for a few. And they also gave us Mega Rayquaza).
