I've never understood people who say, "but after x amount of hours is when it really gets going!" I'm wayyyy too damn busy to spend 20 hours on a game I feel ambivalent about. To quote Anton Ego, "If I don't like it, I don't swallow." Haha.

The whole counterfeiting plot point in general was bizarre.
For the money thing, I believe if you rank up politician dude to 2 (I can't remember his arcana right now. Sun?), you can get an exorbitant amount of cash out of demon negotiations. I haven't tried it, however.
Still Persona 5. I've been forced to slow down, however, because outdoor soccer has started back up. Between that and work, it's been difficult to find time for myself. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is almost completely on the back burner, although that's a game I play at a pretty leisurely pace anyway. I also want to try …
I have to respectfully disagree about Ryuji.
Yeah, P4 has a real slow start.
I'm so glad you like it! I remember reading your P4 posts a couple years back, and was a little disappointed you weren't the one reviewing this game.
I haven't hit romance options in the game yet, but they were optional in P4, so I can't imagine them being mandatory this time around.
The fuzzy textures didn't help, either. It was at that point I knew I was playing a game intended for the PS3.
I don't mind the shrines often being what you discover, because actually doing the shrine is usually really fun. But I definitely agree with the lack of enemy variety. Did you take a picture of the forest spirit and read its compendium article? You'll find a reference to a very special someone.
I'm kind of iffy on stealth as well.
Fighting the mini boss that's a demon sitting on a toilet gave me a huge laugh. That's the type of humor Persona does really well. Can't wait to find Mara, haha.
For the controls in P5, the one thing that bugs me a bit is the stealth stuff. It's almost too easy, the shadows are dumb as rocks. Although I love how they mapped all the commands to the buttons of the controller in battle, as opposed to scrolling through them.
I feel like Persona games always take a long time to open up. They tried to do a better job this time around, I think, but it still felt parceled out in such a way so that it kind of dragged. I've been going back and forth on whether I like that or not.
Persona 5! Persona 5! Persona 5!
Yeah, the biggest issue I considered was that it would be intrusive to the player. That's why I felt like it could maybe be stuff that the player chooses to interact with, memory cutscenes, and other, subtler things. Like, if we went with the Sheikah Slate example, maybe it has some funny, quirky comments added to the…
The OST is incredible. You'll get no complaints from me there.
I thought the way the Old Man kept popping up on a paraglider, and then subtly reprimanding Link for taking his stuff, was hilarious. I definitely would've been cool with having him as a companion. But oh well.
Hmm, I think I phrased myself poorly. To clarify, it's not that I think Automata is a bad game, it's more that Bayonetta 2 is one of my all time favorite games. And some of the early stuff I saw gave me pause. But, like I said, I've only seen an hour or so of the game as well as one spoiler free review that was…
This is off topic, but is Nier: Automata really better than Bayonetta 2? I've only seen the first hour or so, but the shooting segments looked like Galaga re-skinned and were kind of off-putting. Also, Bayonetta seems to have more personality in her pinky than 2B has displayed in the time I've seen of her. Does it get…
