They've actually been hewing much closer to the comics this season. Some sequences (although nothing with Beth or this hospital) are very heavily lifted from that source material.

I think a) Murphy's probably afraid of Grounder retaliation for murdering an unarmed village, especially since he doesn't really believe he can go back to Camp Jaha without being punished so he think she's on his own, b) he's freaked out in general by how unstable Finn is getting so he's trying to balance the

Bless you for actually reading my incoherent word vomit and commenting - you've got an iron constitution!

Yeah, weirdly I believe the book that's the show's source material (or bizarro world predecessor) had a 300+ year gap between holocaust and The 100 returning.

"the classic blood transfusion hero move"

Oh, you…!

That'd be a helluva thing to miss.

While I don't disagree that the slap exposed an ugly side of Abby, and Raven's background is probably such that she's been exposed to that kind of treatment before, I don't know that I would have really thought of her seeing Abby as a "mother" figure to her.

Well, so far the only "looked like a death but actually wasn't" play was Jasper in the first episode.

The show seems to delight in putting together situations where you detest every character for something they've done, because they're all flawed. I'm trying to figure out who might be, broadly, the "best" person and I'm thinking Monty or Raven, followed by… Jaha?

The President guy actually told Clarke in the early part of the season that their exposure to "cosmic radiation" on the Ark actually helped them more than the Grounder's resistance. Mt. Weather people have no resistance because they spent decades underground, away from the radiation so genetic resistance never evolved

Pretty sure they did the "vacant stare of death" shot after Charlotte stabbed/soliloquied him - even if they didn't, it was in the throat/neck area and with no medical attention, he's not surviving that.

I actually thought this was probably one of the best episodes of the season - some faults, sure, but what in life is perfect? Maybe I'm just a softie, but it'd probably have been an A for me (at LEAST an A-). Jumbled thoughts/observations.

I had originally thought that was the goal - that they brought The-100-Turned-47 into Mt. Weather to diversify their genetic makeup and finally be able to leave the base without hazmat suits.

You've got a valid gripe with the genre, and I hate to be the "but you're wrong!" protestor here - especially because when guys ramble into this stuff it generally sounds like patriarchy-fueled anti-feminism.

Yeah I think it will end up being a) some kind of hydroelectric/geothermal plant that turned into a city (Niagara Falls would be a good one) or b) a skyscraper somewhere. I ruled out NYC personally because of the area shot they showed with Jaha when he crash landed that seemed to be implying NYC was a mostly-buried

I can't help but feel like they could have used some of the time absorbed in pointless flashback sequences to put in some footage showing how Irving escaped the asylum.*

I doubt they'd ever played, but they would have known of the sport. They had videos of old soccer matches they'd watch for entertainment in the first season, for instance.

It was not lost on me that The 100 basically were wearing Pip-Boys for the first few episodes.

Additional thought that came to me this morning - I think Mel is the first instance of any of The 100 encountering someone from the Ark who seems to be around their own age, but was not part of their Lord of the Flies circle (at least on camera).
