WRT Serling and "The Twilight Zone":

I saw them in August '89 opening for Tom Petty.

Billy Joel is like Jared? Jared never got drunk and smashed up a car.

Heh. In the picture above he even looks like Rob Lowe. Or I guess Rob Lowe's son.

I completely missed that. Thank you!

He directed the sweet little Oscar Wilde short in "Paris, je t'aime". An anthology film with a vampire short, and it wasn't directed by Craven.

One that should be sampled: Ringo's drum machine-like work on "Tomorrow Never Knows".

Diana Rigg in leather?

I don't get the Celine Dion hate. I think of her as Canada's Streisand. Usually not to my taste, but she appeals to a lot of folks and I don't pick up on an exploitative or manipulative back story. And "One Heart" is kinda catchy.

"Mrs.Kiveat! Mrs.Kiveat!"

I had always wanted to see him in a movie playing Philip Seymour Hoffman's dissolute brother. Alas, now it will never come to pass. I still hate that bastard for overdosing and depriving the world of the rest of his amazing work.

"Watch out where the red fern grows,
And don't you eat that yellow snow."

John Wick's screenwriter brainstorming:

The real House Lannister.

You know, "Sweeney Todd" was a successful musical. Maybe if the Baby Merchant had sold the babies to Mrs. Lovett they may have had something there.

Interesting article on her upcoming 100th birthday (without her, of course).

"A political comedy directed by David O. Russell, co-written by Kristin
Gore (daughter of Al), and starring Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal… something worth seeing."

Dan, definitely do more Quick Hits. The short form definitely brings out your A-game.

And it put me off Heinz Ketchup for years.
