I hope comics and media in general learn to realize that "being asian" isn't some all consuming aspect of our lives. 99.99% are just like everyone else, we don't know martial arts, we don't have some ancestor who's tied into some ancient eastern mysticism, or have some weird first name, at most we just drink more

I'm probably gonna get some flack for this comment, but, I mean, it IS Baltimore lol

They pretty much just have to keep a dome clean WITH the benefit of living in a system that has the tools and infrastructure needed to do so engineered and built in from the ground up, so their eco-holier-than-thou attitude is pretty bullshit. The fact that the Earthers have been able to keep their planet going is

says who, tom cruise?

Martian dude brags about training in 1g back in the day, Avasarala's basically all like, "That's cute, we live in this shit." Her shade does not miss a beat. The only thing sharper than her fashion sense is her acid tongue. That woman gives no fucks, she's my hero.

Martians are kinda like rich white hipsters from SF or Brooklyn bragging about being "woke" and chastising white people in Oklahoma or Appalachia for stealing Indian land

I don't get why the Martians are so judgy about the earth being polluted, seeing as how in 2017 we haven't even gotten to mars earth is already a polluted mess, they're just as responsible as the earthers are.

I agree that they would work MUCH better as a couple now than it did in the past, but i still think it would drag the show down to focus on it too much. I hope that if they do get back together, they keep the relationship aspect in the background and let the hijinks the show does so well take center stage.

I'm just not ready for Nick and Jess to get back together. Despite the undeniable chemistry those two characters have, they made a terrible couple the last time they were together. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the show tends to get dragged down anytime it focuses on Nick's and especially Jess's love lives.

I guess you don't have Victor Garber, Jesse Martin, and two Glee alumni in your extended cast and NOT do a musical episode

So, we're pretending the 90s didn't happen? I guess it's the new thing to act like anything before 2014 never happened, except for when we're trying to drum up guilt for whatever social cause of the week has caught our fancy.

Taking a comedian's comments literally is dumber than what people are accusing Allen of.

Maybe it just touches a nerve with me. I just get tired of a bunch of wealthy douche-hipster hyper-liberal types from the Bay on a moral high horse telling the rest of us how we should think and feel about every issue all the time. I never realized how bad it was until I moved out of state for a few years then came

I dont think I'm the one being overly hyperbolic. I'm just saying that California is essentially a one party state, where even the republicans are democrats by outside standards. Our entire political system suffers from groupthink and any dissenting voices are treated as quacks (though to be fair, they often are).

Everything starts somewhere. Nazi Germany wasn't wasn't built in a day. And in California it goes a lot farther than condescending glares at parties.

I mean, specifically within the context of the hollywood bubble (not to mention huge swathes of CA in general) he's not wrong. If your viewpoints don't line up 100% with the official liberal party line here you get politically marginalized

I love how the fight was over in 3 moves like something out of an old samurai movie.

The fact that you hone in on two words that entire comment, take them out of context to try and insult me doesn't say much for your reading comprehension

Yes, believe it or not, as things progress there are OPA belters who are MUCH bigger assholes than Mao.

because the inners don't harbor delusions about casually nuking the only sustainable biosphere in the solar system. I mean, they might do it by accident through war, or messing with an alien molecule they don't understand, but they wouldn't intentionally wipe out the only planet that makes their existence possible.
