Yes! I knew it wasn't "inner strength," but that's all I could remember off the top of my head. Good job!
As you can see, it's all perfectly normal.
Also, I read somewhere that the network changed his name from Bruce to David because Bruce was a "gay" name!
I have vague memories of That's My Mamma being one of my favorite shows when I was toddling around. Also, Welcome Back Kotter. (There was no Nickelodeon or Disney Channel. We were just happy to watch whatever moving pictures they put in front of us.)
Dr. David Banner: Physician. Scientist. Searching for a way to tap into the inner strength that all humans have. When an accidental overdose of gamma radiation alters his body chemistry. Now, when he becomes angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs…
I know she was one of the first divorced parents depicted on TV, and the show tackled a lot of topical, feminist issues, but Bonnie Franklin was just not that funny as Ann Romano. In fact, she was kind of tiring to watch.
I just re-read the strip. Extremely dark. Are we sure this isn't some type of meta-commentary on comic strips. If not, I think it should be.
I laughed harder at the comments for this story than I have in a long time. Thanks, Internet.
"What a nice program."
The bodies of dead sinners. I laughed a little too hard at that.
You're not alone, friend.
I feel your pain about the shag music. It's a damn cult down here.
Indifference. In my 20s it was fun to watch and guess. Now it's not that big a deal.
I probably would have sought out Dancing with Wolves on video if it hadn't beat Goodfellas for the Oscar. I have a hard time with that.
And Dr. Strangelove
Also, whatever happened to Lorna Patterson?
Edited: Here she is! http://templeisaiah.com/mee…
I'm as excited about this as I am about a sale at Penney's! Super job!
Amen
His character in Midnight in the Garden was the only one who lived up to the book. And who doesn't love the Clyde movies? RIP
