At least Starship Troopers has a cult following. I unabashedly love the movie "Canadian Bacon." Something about it just hit my comedy sweet spot. You should see the blank looks I receive when recommending it, though.

One of my former co-workers (in North Carolina) re-wrote that last year as "Me and You and HB2; traveling and peein' across the land." He reported singing it at karaoke to a confused and stone-faced crowd.
British panel "game" shows. Where are the contestants? Who wins? What's the point?
I don't know. They're just hilarious.
I love watching "Rejected." I think I will do so again. I won't even try to explain it to anyone, though.
When she was around 11 or 12, I indoctrinated my daughter into loving MST3K and RiffTrax. She's now 15 and tries her hardest to explain the concept to her friends. The movie nerds sort of get it, but I don't think she's convinced anyone yet.

What an awesome guy! Thanks for this story!
Reminds me of "Going on a Bear Hunt," which I find very confusing. Where are their guns?
AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! That screams overplayed, amirite?

I felt that way when I first saw the last Newhart episode. I was ready for them to literally make perfect sense of a nonsensical show with one genius episode. A few months later, I "got" the joke and thought it was genius.
Oh. Somehow I missed that info. Thanks for letting me know!
