JNT had a knack for hiring beautiful actresses and then sticking them in clothes that were both revealing and unflattering.

I don't want to diminish Woolf's excellent performance at all, but some credit has to go to whomever decided to let the actor speak calmly into the microphone, as opposed to have to shout from behind the mask, a la Omega.

It's the only knock I'll give Robert Holmes. I understand that it instantly pads a story by an episode, but come on, he was better than that.

A couple things:

My main criticism with the way Sarah Jane was handled is that she seems to have a way higher than average case of "hypnotized by bad guy".

I agree that we won't have any more "The Contests" per say, but I don't think we will ever evolve past the "idiots who control the money" gate keeping the "artists with ideas".

I used to have no real opinion, and then the Mark Duplass 12 Questions article on this site practically made my skin crawl. Maybe he is super funny in the room, and just doesn't translate well?

Disney revived Tron because they didn't have any licenses that appealed to adolescent boys.

Yeah, I don't see that at all. I see a super awkward character played by an awkward actor who isn't trying to "ACT". It is a weird, damaged character. I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks he is a legitimate "badass".

I disagree!

Allison is probably my favorite minor character. She just got so fucked over and never played it like a victim, just honest, exasperated rage.

The fact that O'Neil seems to have missed the "Better Call Sal" joke just sitting there, is upsetting.

Yeah, I think I'm more wrong than right with that last remark. Sorry about that. Still, 40 years…

I don't follow twitter much, if at all, so I just googled "Patton Oswalt rape" and the second hit is (from Jezebel, so you know it is goooood)

So 40 years later and you still haven't forgiven him. You must be a superfan…

Ahh, fair enough. (if we are considering never letting anyone forget their admitted mistakes, fair.)

I need to know inpromptuJ's race, creed, and orientation before I decide is he deserves to be actually killed for his opinions, but I am on board with someone who doesn't look like me FUCKING. PAYING.

I don't get the reference, but I'm going to assume it is a straw man.

Go back to the 70s and say that.

My routine after the first half of the season is to just torrent the show, and then go let the show play in the app while the ipad charges. Which is a couple hoops more than I feel should be necessary to enjoy the show and still support it.
