The original Silent Hill was not a great movie in general, but it really nailed that difficult balance between creating a world that really feels like the video game (doubly tricky for Silent Hill) and writing a story that didn't feel that stilted by weird video game narrative and logic.

This year? Well they re-screened Fury Road in the black and white version, so there was that. Maybe they should just screen Fury Road every year to guarantee at least one good blockbuster outing.

I get the impression her fear of being underestimated and reduced to her looks meant she pushed back a lot harder and a earlier when it came to stuff like that. After her first role, she's always seemed to have surprisingly great control over making sure Hollywood didn't slap a marketable brand on her sexuality. I

Also a metal-head, assuming she is genuinely into Metallica.
Sooo very beautiful!

She does. She's frequently firm about her boundaries when it comes to how she's portrayed by studios outside of her own production company and seems to like collaborating with things like costume design as much as she can. She talks about this kind of stuff pretty often from interviews I've seen.

The movie has a huge team of car experts and collectors working on it and this one includes 2 Oscar winners in its cast. Don't be such a killjoy, not every movie has to be One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

This is the first trailer I've seen in ages that's made me feel genuine excitement, I will say that. Actually I think the last was the Fury Road trailer, so

Oh boy!
But they're not really dreads from what I can see. "Faux-locks" maybe? Spirals mixed with braids?
Not like gross works-in-an-independent-raw-juice-bar clumpy actual white person dreads at least

Furious 7 reviewed better than a lot of the solo Marvel movies from what I remember.

She makes it work, dammit! I think on anyone else, that outfit would have stepped over into Johnny Depp-ish costume swamping, but she wears it so well.

She really does. When I heard she'd been cast, I figured they would go the very typical lady-villain in an action movie and have her in some sharp tailored suit. The other stock option would have been sexed-up mega-babe, which I'm 100% sure she wouldn't have allowed.
But this look they've done is actually really damn

Definitely agree. That cgi mix was flawless.

I won awards if I recall, didn't it?

We can count this as a Furiosa origin story can't we? I kind of like the idea she was a high-tech terrorist pre-apocalypse. She's certainly very good at blowing things up.

No, the subject was you comparing Obama not accepting advice to Trump not excepting it.

He gets to make out with Cipher. He's fine.

You know, I think we may have underestimated Vin Diesel's acting skills, because he was able to stand like a lumpy statue while he had Charlize Theron hanging off his face, so bravo to him.
And I do like the idea that she just got so sick of people asking if she was going to shave her head again that she was just like,

You keep changing the subject. Funny that.

Let me rephrase that then, since you insist on being pedantic over something entirely subjective anyway:

If you think Obama didn't have plenty of political experience after 8 years in the Illinois State Senate and 4 in the US State Senate, then what do you make of Trump's zero years in anything but his gold covered mansion?
