This is definitely not Oscar-bait in the sense that past race issues movies like Crash or The Help are. It stays resolutely focused on the Lovings to the point of avoiding courtroom scenes entirely - the lawyers are only minor characters.

I'll give you a heads up. It does share the reserved nature and poignancy of Midnight Special. The lead performances are wonderfully understated and Kroll stands out mostly because of the contrast of his eager, case-minded lawyer with the quiet Lovings. I don't think Dowd was on this film's wavelength, which is

Not far off. He has to look up what kind of sensor readings were recorded the last time an event like this happened. His entire job is to monitor for signs of events like this.

It's….it's beautiful…

While that's true, anything you see that has him in it will be great and leave you wanting more, even if it's something you've already seen a dozen times. To my mind, the more there is, the better.

Showtime has to put that pilot out, or I will never forgive them.

This is the worst thing. :(

Seems like she should have disclosed what happened to the last guy she tried to have a relationship with post-Bauer.

No hate for The Internship?

Any criticism of Williams' writing merits a mention of the incessant last-second editorial changes DC kept mandating throughout his run. It's what drove him off the title.

Because while there can be any number of past, present, and future Robins, there can only be one Batgirl, apparently.

Brubaker and Epting's Velvet just got started, and if you like his work this is one you really can't miss. I'm beyond words for how excited it's made me.
