To be honest I thought the last page of The Long Halloween even screwed that story up. I haven't read a single thing of his I haven't at least had reservations about, and almost all of it I've hated.

It hasn't really been running in circles so much as it's taking advantage of a resting point in the narrative to more deeply explore its characters. This last issue caught us up to the reveal at the end of the last arc, so we'll probably be pushing the plot forward again shortly.

Pretty shocked to see Saga so low on this list, as I would definitely say it's better than East of West and FF. I'm guessing that Pretty Deadly and Velvet are just too new to be considered at this point?

I seemed to me that Jack was burning those pictures not because there was anything wrong with them, but because he knew that under the circumstances everyone would assume there was something wrong with them.  The impression I've gotten of him is that he's just desperate to keep the life he's built for himself.

While I appreciate the necessity of the reference for the purposes of this article, it should be noted that Mister Miracle is less Houdini-like and more Steranko-like.
