I don't think it DOES take him a while to reach that conclusion – like I said, it's right near the START that Sherlock says that to Lestrade. And he tosses that explanation off like it was very obvious to him.

Sherlock says to Lestrade near the start 'It's other people using the myth of the bride to their advantage', and that is the conclusion he also reaches on Moriarty. So what exactly does he need to work out in between those two moments? Not much. The whole bride excursion doesn't appear to bring him any new insight or

I thought they were Chipmunks. I don't watch many films though, so I could be wrong. Also, I thought there were three of them. Maybe he was only in two though…

"Calling someone "racist" is the most vile slur after "Nazi" in the left-wing playbook"

Try reading more carefully. Rafael Penguin said: "He didn't handle the situation as well as he could have but short of agreeing that she was right and he was wrong, it was a lose/lose situation for him."

The same way the right says calling others 'racist' shuts down debate. It's saying the other person isn't worth discussing anything with as they've committed an unforgivable sin.

She can keep raising her hand either way. My point stands.

I think this is a great song, and Fine Young Cannibals had lots of great songs. I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion though.

"but short of agreeing that she was right and he was wrong"

I hear all the time people on the Right saying "You're accusing people of being 'Un-PC' in order to shut down debate", but that in itself is an accusation that is used to shut down down debate.

I read the book of The Rosie Project. The author originally planned it as a film, so you read it thinking 'This would make a great film'. It's a very compulsive read – funny, with great characters – and I got through it in a weekend.

"During the lead-up to 50 Shades Of Grey, when every other article about it seemed to mention it starred “that guy from The Fall,”"

"A Ryan Seacrest Type"

The guy in the clip looks quite a lot like Colin Baker, especially the hair.

Does this mean she was only 15 when they made that film? Possibly younger if the film was filmed early in 1987? That doesn't seem right.

What about American lady singers making 'baby' sound like 'boy-buy'?

Even simpler then: Pegg + Aliens = crappy movie.

It's was all going well until the last few scenes – from when their dialogue with Bill Nighy's voice as some head alien. For some reason it fell apart after that.

Are there aliens in it? Yes.
Are they Star Trek aliens? No.
It's going to be disappointing.

I just listened the Radiohead's National Anthem again and I think it's pretty badass. The bass line is great and all the brass instruments at the end are great too. I wouldn't want to listen to it more than once in a month, but I'd not want to never hear it again either.
