The thing about the vapid pop songs is that generally they're liked by millions of people not no-one. Like the 'Call Me Maybe' song Branum mentions.

Not to be confused with Thora Hird.
"British accent"
The EMF song was filled with ADC samples, wasn't it? Funny, as he's pretty much unknown in the UK.
Isn't Funky Cold Medina basically a song about drugging women into having sex with you?
That video where the boy explains about the cardboard cutout is really annoying. Seven minutes or so long. I skipped four minutes in and he hadn't even begun to explain it. Then I watched for another minute and a half while he said "Sorry that I have to explain this to you", and then he said 'basically' about ten…
I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan but I thought Momentary Lapse of Reason was great, while Final Cut was unlistenable.
Try J C Clarke's song '36 Hours' - music and lyrics are both fantastic. If you haven't heard it, look it up now and give it a listen. It's blistering.
Hartnett has eyes? I thought they were just slits in his face, not unlike pissholes in the snow.
Jack White can't spell at all.
I'd add to that list Emilio Estevez forcing that kiss on Andie McDowell in St Elmo's Fire, after stalking her to some ski lodge, while her boyfriend is just a few yards away.
That Living on a Prayer/ Heaven is a Place on Earth video doesn't make a great case. Part of its 'evidence' is the songs are of a similar length! Plus the bits they play along side each other don't sound that similar either. I've heard a better case made that the latter song sounds like'You Give Love A Bad Name'
Not a huge fan of either song, but I've never thought they sound that similar. Not like that Red Hot Chilli Peppers song that sounds just like that other Tom Petty song.
Brit comedies don't have laugh tracks.
"…Fool me three tiiiiimes a lady"
That depends on what you define as being 'the middle'. You can see the Democrats have moved left but there's plenty of old-school Republicans who've spoken out and said leading party-members of the past would be considered left-wing by today's right-wing.
