It's like Marvel doesn't have the patience any more to build support for their characters. No strongly defined character traits, no cast of interesting supporting characters, no gallery of interesting villains and no time to build up a mythology with interesting plots.

Here's my idea: Cap drives around on a motorcycle and travels all over America fighting corruption and evil. And it's great, just like it used to be.

But that issue is SO AMAZING. I love that it exists!

I'm not a big fan of cosmic shenanigans in general- seems like a lazy writing tool for creators who can't come up with engaging story-lines that honour the history and style of the characters.
