Well, I'm looking forward to this! *hangs head in semi-shame*

I have it downloaded!

This is really dumb.

Does anybody want a peanut?

I saw that on a bumper sticker once…it was glorious.

My go-to Simpson's phrase is "It's the mystery of the dance," but I don't think that literally anyone I've ever said that to picked up on the reference.

Just because someone notices a physical characteristic about another person doesn't mean that they'll fixate on it or define the other person by it. And maybe it's not a bad thing if people are trying to being nice? But that's just my two cents.

Because summer is for fluffy books and murder mysteries, I'm back on my Agatha Christie completion quest and am just finishing up "A Cat Among the Pigeons," which has been pretty good so far.

If it helps, I'm a very petite girl and I used to date a 6'1", 280 lb. guy. At the time, I thought he was very funny and charming and I don't remember ever feeling the need to discuss his weight (though I think he did once or twice). Maybe you're just not meeting the right women?

Watched The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with my niece and nephew. It was the first time they had seen it which made watching it extra fun. My nephew thought Tigger was pretty great.

Yea.

The Summer of Harbaugh continues and it is good.

Mr. Moneypenne made oven roasted Cornish Game hens which we had with red skinned mashed potatoes and homemade stuffing. Nothing fancy but all excellent!

My dog has a torn ACL which cost a lot to diagnose and may cost a whole heck of a lot more to fix if he can't manage the pain over time.

Mr. Moneypenne and I just had a Christmas at the end of July movie night and watched Die Hard, which is always an excellent choice.

Just read L.M. Montgomery's "The Blythes are Quoted" which is the unabridged version of "The Road to Yesterday" and is now being considered the ninth "Anne" book. I thought the references to Anne and her family felt a little shoe-horned in, but the stories are still good. It's set me off on a Montgomery train though

Girls like Top Gear too.

I would be excited, except now I'll have to get Amazon Prime. I was hoping they'd end up on Netflix.

Mgoblog had a very interesting post this week about how all the conferences should be realigned/corrected. I think it was at least partially spurred by how the Big Ten is, as you put it, poorly named at this point.

Obvious, but Amélie, and less obvious, The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec.
