Hard to believe basic WWII history wasn't taught in our once-proud private military schools when Trump was a kid more than 50 years ago, but that's American liberalism for you.

In terms of "what about…" What about the villagers on the island? When last seen, they were burning down their village and running around with torches, pitchforks and guns. Why didn't they storm the big house and confront Westmorland? What happened to them, period? Whither Mud?
Others may have mentioned these but I'm not going back through 900 comments to find out:
Deborah Workman's oboe in REM's "Nightswimming"
Jean-Luc Ponty's electric violin in Elton John's "Mellow"
Bryan Ferry's whistling in "Jealous Guy"
Garth Hudson's organ in the Band's "Chest Fever"
Jim Gordon's piano on "Layla"
In case there's any doubt that this column (probably unlike his mortadellaphobic friend) really exists: http://www.nytimes.com/2012…
She might have just thought, "I know what these cold cuts are (or don't care) I just can't believe they're charging this much for a couple of slices of glorified salami. Who wouldn't rather go get a couple of tacos?"
He played it in '88 on the Tunnel of Love Tour, paired with "War," but I don't think I've heard it since (just 3 or 4 shows).
One of my kids just graduated from a private college with very manageable loan obligations (not to mention a job) and the other won't need to take out any loans at all. We're nobody special, these kinds of things are available.
I did some poking around, it's the same guy.
Private schools like U of C and Wash U are offering very good financial aid these days. Lots of private schools are better value these days than publics, I recommend checking them out.
And using that logic, imagine what a great president Donald Trump Jr. is going to be.
See below, I didn't really know him, he was just someone in the dorm. I only learned years later he'd become well-known.
A good education. Truthfully I didn't know him then or anything about him, just knew his name from the dorm, and found out years later he'd become famous.
Sorry, I must have missed that class. Until I (again, no joke) met my Italian-born wife, I had no idea what those cold cuts were, either, and probably would have just ordered Mexican. Come to think of it, I'd probably do the same today.
Truth be told, I didn't even watch him die. I just went and ate Mexican.
I still can't believe (and this is no joke) that I went to college with Brooks and lived in the same dorm. Shudder.
For me, Brooks has yet to surpass his column about the time he and some of his rich friends flew to Europe just to see Springsteen and wondered — in print! — if the audience singing along realized they weren't actually born in the U.S.A. And I thought "Exactly: When I sing along to Johnny Cash on the radio, I actually…
Just to be certain, are we absolutely sure Brooks didn't mean he and his friend ate "a" Mexican?
Is it too late to destroy the Internet and pretend it never happened?
Sorry, I had to stop reading at the point where the author didn't want to listen to "London Calling." I would love to have that to listen to in a hotel room. I am also very old, so do with that information what you will.
For Chuck, the law was the same as Walter's meth-making equipment: the one true love of his life, but it never loved him back.
