Was he better? Or was he just more acceptable to the brass because he wasn't such a hotshot? Stupid officers. He clearly lacked nerve.

That was when they first met the Dominion and their shields turned out to be useless against Dominion weapons. They clearly fixed that problem… and unless the Defiant was outfitted with Dominion polaron weapons it gives them no advantage.
"The person who was killed was your wife…. by Riggs!"
I hate to be "that guy", but Iceman and Maverick were great at shooting faceless Libyan pilots out of the sky. And if I remember correctly Maverick was clearly better at it than Iceman, since Maverick had to fly to his rescue.
Enterprise, it's 360 degree's of weapon coverage and it's ability to fire multiple photon torpedoes in each volley (something I don't recall the Defiant being able to do) would be too much.
My first R rated movie too. But I didn't see it in the theater. I was 12 at the time… I saw it on VHS.
That's it in ME. I'm their commander, killing them through poor decision making seems to go against the messianic nature of the Shepard character. Plus my ME3 party would be disappointing without everyone there to get drunk and party the night away.
I remember going online after I beat ME2 for the first time (no losses in the suicide mission) and one person on the comment thread also claimed to have come through the SM unscathed. They were immediately accused of lying by a bunch of posters.
Hmm I'll have to look that up. Because I can't even imagine a scenario in which a pitcher can lose a perfect game.
Andy Hawkins managing to lose a no hitter by 4 runs. Error to put runner on, 2 walks, error by Leyritz in LF lets 3 runs score, error by Barfield in RF lets one more score.
To be fair, the 60 wins in a season record could be beaten (very unlikely) because, while starters only start around 30 to 35 times a season, a reliever can also get wins. But your team would have to have an interesting mix of awfulness and awesomeness to pull that off. The league leader last season in games pitched…
"Well if that's the case then why go for someone like Trump who himself outsources his brand products to China?"
I'm pro the idea of remaking movies with lesbian vampires.
This is certainly a litany of the bad reasons that people support Trump. But notably absent are the less crazy, racist reasons people support him. Just to stick to your summing up paragraph and the list of words that Trump supporters fear.
I'm late on this, but can I point out the irony of Ramius blaming the Soviet health care system for the death of his wife and choosing to defect to the US?
I hate watching reality TV. It's like flippng through a stack of photos. If I'm not in them, and nobody's having sex, I just… don't care.
I agree. The prime directive, and the conundrums it produces, are often interesting. As are the ways in which the various Star Trek crews choose to interfere or not interfere in the lives of others.
I think "A Private Little War" is a delightfully subversive episode of Star Trek.
We can build it. We have the technology. Faster, stronger, bet…. er… Faster and stronger, that's for sure!
Good cop shows aren't on TV where I live. I only get what the 2 English language stations give me.
