Obligatory "Hunt for the Wilderpeople is excellent and you should all see it" statement.

A long time ago I bought the Paul Jenkins run of Hellblazer from a bloke on Usenet for a very reasonable price. Turned out that bloke was Sean Phillips and he not only signed every copy, but threw in a gorgeous piece of unused Kid Eternity art cause I mentioned how much I loved that series. Made me a fan for life and

A movie directed by Guillermo and starring Benicio would be the Keyser Söze of cinema.

Unfortunately I took your movie review scale to it's natural conclusion with "Irreversible" and now I need to shower for the rest of my life.

"Man Bites Dog" disposes of a near satisfactory number of Belgians.

Is there some obscure piece of Talmudic law that prohibits the wearing of vestments of cloth made and constricting about the neck, with a piece that folds down and is pointy even?

I did a search for some more stuff and now I've read more Casey than I have for a long time and my opinion remains unchanged. Maybe all confidence is just a massive delusion.

Maybe that's the real reason I dislike him. As a writer who constantly questions the quality of everything I produce, Casey's lack of awareness about the mediocrity of his material and supreme confidence in the genius of his output makes me both jealous and mad.

I'm guessing 1988 is going to be "Die Hard" and John Woo will get his credit with 1992's "Hardboiled".

My problem with Casey's comics, and admittedly I haven't read that many, is that it seems like he's trying really, really hard. He'd probably be okay as a mid-tier superhero hack, but he really, really wants to be Grant Morrison and he's just not.

John Wicker, man!

Top tip: Convince your friends that you are an Olympic gymnast by rubbing your hands with chalk before every task.

Thinking about it, trying to describe this soundtrack is a bit like trying to describe the impact of the original "Blair Witch" film to people who weren't alive back then. Now-a-days not knowing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan means not hanging out on the right message board, not following the right "you might also like" link,

Fun fact: Betel leaf and nut are addictive stimulants.

Still sounds less self-aggrandising and insulting to the dead than David Lipsky's "Although Of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself: A Road Trip with David Foster Wallace"

There's a fourth series now… sorry.

Have you seen "A Horrible Way to Die"? Definitely worth seeking out, really shows the writer/director know their genre and know how to subvert it.

1985 was also the year of "Pale Rider" which fits into history of violence rather nicely.

Or maybe they have different taste and/or priorities and/or value systems to you.

Can't wait until they bring on the low-rent equivalent of Joe Pesci's character.
