That was my complaint about the show. It seemed like a procedural whose goal was to let someone off every week, then "stumble" into the real killer in the eighth episode.

I know people who think the show dragged and the tone was maudlin. One of my friends said she gave it up after a couple of episodes because she "couldn't take another slow tracking shot of people standing in hallways staring into space." It's a fair criticism.

If you make this happen, can they all be auto-playing videos with no warning on the front page link. I really love it when I scare the shit out of the whole office and then have to scramble to figure out which tab is doing it. Pretty please. That is sooooo much fun.

I really liked how Gregson chastised/advised Holmes to be nice. The way it came off both as friendly advice and personal frustration (while still caring about what happens to Holmes) says so much about Gregson's character.

Top of the Lake was dreadful— plodding, a meandering mess, and weird just to be weird.

Considering the thing doesn't air until tomorrow, probably not.

Wonderful Christmastime sounds like it was written by a three year old— both lyrics and music. At least Happy Xmas could be mistaken for a decent song by a college student.

I disagree. I think that Rick was making sense to everyone. "Brian", after all, was pretty much a stranger to them as well. I think his people were beginning to realize that the prison people may not be exactly as "Brian" had made them out to be. I don't think they would have turned on the Governor, but I think they

I agree. It is like reading Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. Eventually you start to ask, "Don't these people find anything humorous? Don't they joke with each other?" It just isn't realistic that after the Zombie apocalypse becomes the norm, they wouldn't be able to find some kind of real joy in their lives.

I so agree with you about the execution of the baby (that sounds wrong). The baby didn't really have any effect at all. Every now and then Rick would ask about her, but there was no emotional connection to her. She was simply "the baby". In the same way you would occasionally have "the black guy".

Of all those things, the plastic planters make the most sense to me. A foot of dirt could definitely stop a bullet.

He said he drove the tank, he didn't say he could shoot it.

I have been warming to her as well. It seemed that up until recently the only word I would have used to describe her was "shrill". It isn't that she was the typical wife/foil, but that her performance always seemed to be pitched to frantic/weepy/fragile level that was…. well, shrill. It was like nails on a chalkboard.

It's musical heresy because it goes against the teachings of the Holy Musical Church and the instructions of the music Pope (for a while I think Prince held that office).

Still waiting for the "Bieber Apology". Letting him travel abroad should be considered a war crime.

The thing was that even in my flu state, I had actually twigged that it was a re-enactment in the previous episode, but couldn't believe that they would re-enact so poorly…. it had to be somewhat real to be that bad.

During a bout with the flu, I got caught up in a marathon of one of those repo-men type shows on a channel way down the dial. I noticed about six episodes in there was a disclaimer that the show was "based on actual events". So…. in other words, it is a not reality at all, just another scripted or improv-ed

I was drug to a home and garden show a couple of years ago and one of the HGTV makeover stars (not sure of her name) was there giving a Q&A. Someone asked if she would have her own house on a show like that. Her answer was a resounding "NO!" Then she went on to explain why. I was impressed with how candid she was. She

From what I gather, she unexpectedly made her millions off her debut album, now just does whatever the hell she feels like. Unlike so many people who try to keep the gravy train going, she used the cash to buy her artistic freedom.

Episodes like this make me angry.
