Yeah, it’s called ‘fortress mentality’ and it’s a direct result of people having kids and no actual problems in life, so they make them up like abduction and myriad other issues, up to and including needing the biggest 7-seater they can[’t] afford to put their one kid in.
According to my coworker, her purchase of a giant vehicle was in response to everyone else’s giant vehicle, and her belief that such brawn would best protect her infant. And I’ve heard this from others, too.

It’s utterly breathtaking how the GOP and all its supporters are content to look the other way on criminal behavior, campaign finance violations, access to voting, nepotism, outright graft and corruption, conflicts of interest, lack of morals, anti-democratic ideals, etc.
