I’ve watched a couple of the more recent episodes. Good lord, it deserves all the hate you can give it.

The internet itself has changed massively since then.

This got renewed? Good for them :)

The main theory is that since the internet got massive in the ‘90s, “culture” started to stagnate then. I believe that outfits of a show like Buffy or friends don’t look as ridiculous to current teens as the outfits of the ’70s and ‘80s looked to those of us who were teens in the ‘90s

What I’m getting from this is that Disney should’ve gotten Warburton for Thunderbolt Ross instead of Harrison Ford.

Is it me or is the ‘90s weirdly underrepresented as far as nostalgic pop culture compared to the ‘80s?

I’m 47. Five years ago I started listening to a “new band” called Cage the Elephant, only to learn that everybody knew about them and they’d been around for 15 years.

His early work was pretty Hozy. His new stuff is much Hozier.

I thought the big sign I’m getting Old would be failing to learn about new artists; turns out it’s hearing about artists who I could’ve sworn just debuted but in reality have been around for a decade-plus. I’ve been hearing about Hozier for either twenty months or twenty years; who knows.

Dang, that was a hell of an episode. Of course the big scenes all landed, but I’ll say that the flight choreography in Mariko’s big showdown at the gate was the best yet on the show. It felt epic, like a Zhang Yimou scene, but never cheesy despite it being one woman against a ton of soldiers. Great stuff!

Reviewer: likes show

The best woman applies for travel permit episode on TV ever.

This entire show she’s done that!  And she definitely gives the best “you need to shut the fuck up” look while barely moving her face that I’ve ever seen.

Loved how much Anna Sawai was able to convey with just her eyes.

The only way to sum up this episode: “FUCK.”

His cameo probably took weeks to record. “Push the fucking button Clem Fandango!!!”

The games imply that basically the 1960s never happened in the Fallout universe so 1950s culture just continued rather than reverting to it later on. Although in the show’s universe apparently the civil rights movement must have happened at some point because Cooper is married to a Black woman with no apparent racist

The highlighting of Cooper Howard “I’m not that kind of guy” to the Ghoul definitely having become that kind of guy.

Lucy continues being friggin’ great.

Agreed on this episode having two big video game beats. The clear of the Super Duper Mart and the Vault Exploration/Discovery scenes. It’s amazing to me how well they have nailed the look and feel of these things to the things you do in the games. At least FO3 and onward. It is uncanny and bizarrely thrilling to
