A pretty good film and a nice way to conclude the series. My only complaint is I wish it could have been an actual final season. You can see the plot points and ideas here where they wanted to expand but couldn’t. It doesn’t hurt the movie, just pointing out that a full season would have been better.

Enjoy the series while you can however, MAX is pulling it from streaming on Aug 12th as another tax writeoff, around the same time the films 90 day physical exclusivity expires and it goes to streaming.

Programming note: The final two episodes of Gemstones air next week. I’ll review both in one recap.

I saw a story a couple days ago where someone used ChatGPT to finish the last 2 books. Now I don’t advocate for AI to take over people’s jobs but if there was one case where I’d allow it, it might be for this. At the very least, can we use it as a threat? Like “George, finish the damn books or we’re making the ChatGPT

Is there a lesson here? Is it people are still willing to go to theaters and just wanted something new and fresh as opposed to a series of “big blockbuster franchises” we’ve had for the last decade? Or is it that people just like Barbie and bombs?

There’s been some talk about studios delaying already done movies but I’m skeptical they actually will. Mostly because I don’t see how it benefits them.

You joke but a Big Fuckface with extra cheese sounds pretty good right now

It taught me a very valuable lesson that I will cherish for the rest of my life;

I was thinking maybe like talk show appearances could have some effect, but honestly, how much? Especially nowadays where late night shows aren’t nearly as popular as they use to be (same with morning shows). Chances are you’re already aware of the movie and seen the clip they’ll show after the interview. Maybe I’m

Just saw it.

Florida’s govt currently launching an investigation into this movie.

It’s not offensively bad. It’s just stunningly boring. For the budget it has, the cast, and the story potential, they somehow came up with the blandest possible show.

As long as they run ads, its should be fine. I’m skeptical that the majority of the potential audience goes to see movies because of press tours. Who out there is really going “I wasn’t going to see this, but then I saw (some star) on the interview circuit and now I’m sold”

I could see them deciding, fuck this, we’re going to another studio, if not for Part Two then definitely for Messiah.

Laszlo/Gizmo win the award for best Pride float ever.

They spent a bunch of money on this show, right? I can’t believe they did yet came up with something this dull and boring. The series has been a massive disappointment. At least Falcon/Winter Solider can blame covid for its shortcomings. This is just bad.

Frankly, Gravik’s plans have all been pretty uncreative, haphazard and dumb. Dude has skrull allies in most of the world’s most powerful governments and agencies and his big idea is try to start a nuclear war?

This show is so aggressively mid. Actually, it might just be bad. I’ve been keeping an open mind throughout and giving it chance after chance, but its just not there. Outside of some occasional good scene performances from people like Cheadle and Colman, there is nothing appealing about this show. Barring a miracle

Baby Billy is an all time classic character. It just needs to be said more often.

That can be regional dependent though so I’m more forgiving on those. In my area, they changed the school schedule a few years ago to where students go from mid-August to mid-May. So it makes sense you’ll see back2school ads a month out.
