but is he somehow under the impression that the majority of American people look at a conflict in which the Rich People Want More Money and think that their employees should be happy for table-scraps, and are somehow not rooting for the employees?

I don’t know the technical details, but my guess is its because Saul Goodman is classified as the main character so Odenkirk is the lead and everyone else on the show are supporting.
This show has its moments and some of the actors are pretty good in it, but largely it just feels like its stuck in 2nd gear. It’s not bad, but we’re now 4 episodes into a 6 episode run and it feels like its just there. The stakes don’t seem near as important as they should be. The spy stuff, what little there…

Every year they have to shoe horn SNL noms into this. Neither her nor Pedro Pascal were anything special. That’s no fault of their own, but just the state of SNL in general. There’s other shows and actors out there to recognize than to be giving noms for hosting SNL.
I don’t even understand how The Bear is a comedy. It’s way more drama to me. I guess if a show has a couple of moments of humor in it that makes it a comedy? It’s fantastic, but I don’t get how it qualifies for the category its in.
Both ResDogs and Atlanta shut out of the Comedy side is bullshit. On the positive side, at least ResDogs has one more season to get some love.
She absolutely should. She’s been deserving for years now. But I’m fully prepared that she won’t. The categories are just too stacked against her and BCS in general. All those years where the Emmys kept passing her (and the show) over are now extra painful. Really hoping they will at least let Rhea have this one and…
Times like this is when the Emmys not giving love to Better Call Saul, especially Rhea Seehorn, in prior years really sucks. BCS, Seehorn, and Odenkirk all deserve to win but this year’s categories are fucking stacked. I won’t be surprised if Succession sweeps them all. Wouldn’t be shocked if White Lotus and…
Love Pedro Pascal but I’m subbing him out for Brad Pitt on Dave 100 times out of 100.
She was my #1 pick and I’m thrilled they made it happen. Kish, on top of being an excellent chef, has such a magnetic TV personality that just draws you in. She’s been great in every show I’ve seen her do. It’s a natural fit and Top Chef couldn’t have picked a better host.
I have to keep reminding myself the kid that plays Young Jesse isn’t McBride’s son. He looks quite a bit like him and nails every mannerism. He’s that good. The actor playing Young Judy doesn’t really look much like adult Judy, but she also nails the mannerisms. They’ve done a great job with the casting here
I feel like he’s gotta have some kind of small part in The Marvels considering Captain Marvel showed up in the stinger at the end of Shang-Chi and you also see them together in She-Hulk. If not, then I don’t see the point of what they are doing. Might as well have just made a stand alone movie and just let Shang-Chi…
But over the last several weeks, Disney’s done a better job at conveying what the film actually is and relating it to the real world context of its director Peter Sohn.
Frontline (I think, but it may have just been a doc on PBS) did a story awhile back, maybe a year to 2 years ago) about climate change and politics starting in the 1970s on up today. One of my main takeaways was how Exxon knew about all the science back in the 70s showing climate change, had all the resources to move…
It’d be nice if those invites flowed a little more freely
You’d think that but its probably the opposite is true. She knows she’s a celebrity so the normal rules of social engagement for us pleebs don’t apply to her ilk. She, like plenty of other famous people, just assume they are recognized by everyone at all times and accommodations will be made for them
You can’t sign up for an account on a desktop browser but for whatever reason, you can view people’s accounts if you click a link to them. I don’t know all the techno elf magic wizardry going on there but it seems like if you can view pages, you aught to be able to sign up for an account.
Yeah. If someone posts a link to their specific Threads account, I can view it in a browser but it won’t let me actually sign up for an account in a browser.
The happy endings part didn’t bother me so much. It’s the fact that everything was rushed as hell. Basically everything you touched on could have been wrapped up better had they had 6 more episodes, taking the final count from 24 to 30, to fully tell the stories they set up. Instead it felt like some exec came in and…
