It took me a while to remember which was which on the show, because I remembered (admittedly haven't gone back to check) Rupert being the primary watchdog for Claire while she was at Leoch, and Show Angus definitely filled that role, at least in the early episodes.

I agree, dropping Laoghaire into this sequence was a really odd choice to me, even if I did get a cheap chuckle out of the "What? I sat with him, talked to him, showed him my boobs" line.

The third book could make for a really excellent season of TV, done right. Humor, adventure, and a great "holy shit" payoff moment at the end.

I thought the Fergus scene was done very well- a nice example of how you can trust a viewer to make a connection between Point A and Point B and still build tension without showing too much.

That splinter that Bouton sniffs out has always been one of my personal biggest medical shudders from the books. I'm both pleased they stuck to it so closely and need to barf.

Unless I missed it due to crying baby (possible) was Fergus's "insurance policy" from Jamie not mentioned?

I should have learned to ALWAYS wait for the title card after the time with Paula and her husband. I noted it wasn't there then forgot. Flipping brilliance.

I read it as an early seed of the gemstones, for sure.

Rogelio's voicemail message! Never change, Rogelio.

That was my assumption, anyway. It said something about a suspicious man loitering in the park bathroom after dark.

Forrest being *actually* wanted on the next line of the police blotter (trolling the gloryhole) and William Nilly were the icing on the cake.

Don't know. I was on the poor side. There weren't that many binoculars to go around.

For what it's worth, I went to a camp one summer in this part of Maine, and there was totally a "rich side of the lake".

Every time I've found the voice-over narration tedious I've had to remind myself that it was going to be necessary for that vaccination scar reveal.

I can see if they were to somehow shoehorn in say, Marie, but a shoddy criminal defense lawyer coming into contact with Albequerque career criminals doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.

I almost yelled in the theater when I realized that all we were getting of "No More" was the instrumental.

I agree. It's sort of brilliant as a mid-season finale when you compare it to what will presumably be the season finale.

I squeed.
