yeah, I like the idea of a sitcom cartoon set in the 70s, but this didn't seem very good. Although I'm in the tiny minority of people who don't think Bill Burr is funny.

that's so true. By giving a world a history you don't witness firsthand, it makes the world seem more lived-in. Also by not flashing back it shows they trust viewers to understand things without the director completely spelling it out for you.

ahh, I find sullen teenage characters incredibly annoying. It feels like the writers are venting about their annoying kids when that happens. Except in Sopranos.

I love it when "English" or "American" anime characters say a line in English: "Hau aru iu duuingu?"

so basically you have red hair

the heart wants what the heart wants!

my apple TV app somehow didnt show any commercials during Community or Other Space. Not that I'm complaining, but it seems like a poor business model…

I read some cool article about it long ago, one that tied the traditional stories of La Malinche and la Llorona to Moz's lyrical style. I can't remember if it was this article: http://www.believermag.com/…

somehow morrissey makes that line sweet and romantic. it's a skill.

I think he wrote "First of the Gang to Die" just for them. :D

"find a happy magical fifth level?" is that what that means?

yeah, my stride mother has a pretty cushy lifestyle working from home…

Peter Panel picked a panel…

Haha actually my friend ran into him at a restaurant in New Haven once and took a picture with him.

Yeah but then you'd be saddled with Ayelet Waldman as a wife. No thank you.

How is saying "I rewatched Lost" relentlessly trolling?

eh, I'm more in it for the emotional stakes and world-building. It's a TV show, not a Sudoku puzzle; they don't need to fill in every box to make a good show. It's like real life; you don't always get an explanation.

aww, man. My two least favorite characters, Tommy and Laurie.
