I mean, I immediately thought "scrooge" without reading the question too much. However, once you see the date, it should be pretty obvious.

And then it's time for the prequel, which can get stretched out as long as you want it, really!
I watched part of One Direction on SNL this weekend and was like "…wait, that's it?" I'm not opposed to liking manufactured pop music, but man there's more interesting manufactured pop music than this.
I quit Korra after season 2 (yes, I've heard it gets better, but damn I hated that love triangle), but I'm very pleased that this is the case. My sister, who's a lot more stoic than me usually, was practically giddy about this news.
I haven't even seen Interstellar and I'm rolling my eyes at that. Even if that's the point of the movie, you don't need to SAY it. Hey, Nolan, I have this rule for storytelling, it's called 'Show, don't tell,' not sure you'v heard of it.
There's a reason that a group of Star Trek fans call him Captain Fine, and it's not just because of his record in captaining the Enterprise.
I mostly go "Oh, I have extra time off, time to play the games I've been meaning to play but don't have time for!" Right now I'm doing a giant Dragon Age play through that will culminate in finally getting to play Inquisition, so hopefully I'll be able to make some good progress in that during my time off.
I also end…
That's true! That's one positive side about waiting for games, other than the fact you can usually get them way cheap later.
Man, I haven't played so many games since I'm waiting for things to get cheap, but I'm still all on the Telltale bandwagon, so The Wolf Among Us is probably my favorite experience of 2014 (with The Walking Dead Season 2 being up there). Aside from the obvious strengths (storytelling, characters, decision-focused…
"Great job, affiliated website that we are promoting!"
Absolutely Snowpiercer. Favorite movie of the year. I loved the social commentary, I loved the production design, I thought it was well paced, well written. A lot of people had issues with the dialogue, but I thought it was just fine. I love sci-fi like this, and I had a lot of fun with it.
I definitely wouldn't pick Jessica Alba, but I'm totally game for Ellen Page Han Solo.
As am I.. Sorry everyone
I really despise Cinema Sins types of things. There are certain plot holes that can bug me, but it's rare that a plot hole will make or break a movie for me. I knew someone whose idea of a good movie was a movie with absolutely no plot holes.
I find it interesting that the earliest section of this list has names (Reuben, Casey) but it becomes much more generic as time goes on. So you go from "Reuben" to "Fuck."
I'm really bummed out about Parks and Rec ending, but seven seasons is a hell of a run. Especially since the later seasons, even if they didn't quite hit the highs of season 3, were still quite good. Not sure of how I'm feeling about this promo, but I'm fairly confident it will end up alright.
Really enjoying this! A lot of this is really right up my alley, musically.
My very first office holiday party is tomorrow, and there is the promise of free drinks, so that'll be good? (It's on the day before my job interview at this same office, so I can't really indulge too much).
I don't think my supervisors really care, because they're generally pretty chill about a lot of things (people leave their desks to just go run errands and go shopping and that's acceptable, even encouraged) but I just feel weird when one of them walks by and I'm screwing around on Facebook or something.
Job interview at my current place of employment on Friday! If I get this then I will no longer be a temp, which would be nice. I'm also really happy at my current job, so even though it's not really living my dream or anything like that, it would still be a cool place to settle for a while while I write on the side.
