I went expecting Jackman to be great and Crowe to be terrible. I left underwhelmed by Jackman but found that Crowe wasn't as horrible as I was expecting. Such is the power of expectations, I guess.

For me, the difference is time, too… but not the time needed for production, but the time needed for viewing. I watch far more movies than TV shows, and most of the TV watching I do is shows where I can watch one episode and have it be a self-contained unit rather than needing to know the backstory from other episodes…
