Gruden's excitability would be more tolerable if he got overly worked up all the time to the point he cursed again, like he did so many years ago. Now his excitement bland and nonsensical. I want "giddy kid in candy store" excitement again.

The Tim vs. Bob stuff was pretty funny, if only because Tim hated Bob, but Bob never seemed to care. It's an old bit but it's always good for a laugh.

Last year I voted South Park as one of the best shows of the year. I love the show. The only issue I had really was that I don't personally like the "giant douche vs. turd sandwich" thing, for a lot of various reasons I *could* get into but would take a long post. I liked this episode quite a bit, too!

I don't know in which era you grew up in and caught the show - the original airings in the 70s or the Cartoon Network reruns in the 90s - but I assure you WTYFGH is indeed unwatchable.

Hahah, no, Izzy was… he wasn't anything. Just a blue blob with vague Olympic symbols all over him.

I'm a lost cause.

Haha, I haven't quite reached my ironic appreciation of Izzy yet! (This will never happen.)

I've seen that Izzy cartoon. Maybe 3 times in fact. It aired on Cartoon Network. I was the single only fan of that mascot. I even sent money to the "Izzy fan club" years back. (I got absolutely nothing back). If anything it would be deep in CN's vaults.

I don't know. Unlike everyone else here, I don't think I could ever say I checked out of Nick.

It sounds like the movie would be a lot of fun if it leaned much harder into the absurdity of the premise. As the review stands, it sounds more like they're lampshading the silliness without engaging in it in any entertaining way. (For a good example of that, see Madagascar 3.)

The KFP Christmas special is pretty generic except for a really inspired and well-done montage sequence.

Yeah, it definitely felt like an experimentation to see if recapping a looser cartoon would work, and frankly I'm surprised that we've managed to get as many comments as we did! I tried my best to at least make them analytical without getting all "Muppets at a deeper level".

Thank you so much, I really enjoyed recapping the show as well, and I'm glad you enjoyed them. I wrote a lot about this episode already but I did want to mention the fruit thing. It was a small but notable change of perspective for Dominator.

If I was 10 or 11, Tintin would have been my FAVORITE HOLY SHIT GOD DAMN AWESOMEST MOVIE EVER

My biggest issue with the shock collar plot is that, while definitely a darker and more bolder take, is also way more easier to fuck up. The parts I've seen are properly dramatic but I'm very concerned about a movie driven by - and let's be honest - white dudes attempting to portrayed in-depth institutional,

Part of me thinks that the show is acknowledging that in some ways, at some times, some people are just beyond all help. Yet the show wants to make the point that it's still important to try, to still be kind and helpful to as many people as you can - even towards people like Dominator. (We've also learned that

Bonkers actually wasn't supposed to be related to WFRR at all. It certainly was an influence but it technically had nothing to do with the film.

You know, at first I hated that bit too, but as I get older and re-examine a lot of Disney's output, I've noticed how they'll just throw out wide anachronistic gags just because they can. Hell, Zootopia has an inexplicable moment where Judy cycles through a bunch of sad songs sung by humans, and there's no explanation

The Aladdin TV show is not only really great (up until the 3rd season, at least), but it has a heck of a cast of voice artists (they managed to get Jason Alexander and Malcolm McDowell) and a lot of great, self-aware gags about the movies own weaknesses, particularly from Iago.

I just recently watched the whole series and don't remember "crap" being said. Although, I know that HAD to have come from Iago.
