One of my favorite Letterman moments was his first show after 9/11, it was one of his best. I especially liked Tori Amos covering Tom Waits "Time." Very emotional.

That was an awesome moment that would've been even more awesome if Mr. Garrick made an appearance (even if only a speed blur to retrieve his hat).

I'm a huge Whedon fan (therfore biased) and over the years of consuming pretty much everything Whedon has done, I think he's demonstrated to me that what he does is in service to the story and I just can't see him thowing in extra characters or easter eggs just for fan service…
