They really never even tried to make Brady likeable, fuck that guy haha. But this was great, I forgot how much I enjoyed just seeing them all hang out, which is what most of this was. Just really sweet.

Down with Love is SO GOOD! Ewan MacGregor turns the charm up to peak levels and Renee Zellweger does that clever whisper-y thing she does so well (And of course Paulson and DHP are perfect), and the visuals are delightful and the clothing beautiful. UGH it's just so, so good!
I, also, am surprised Hot Rod wasn't on

Omigosh, I was not familiar with Duck Tales but I just looked up that opening sequence and Yes please give me someone, bathing-suit clad, diving into a room full of cocaine and/or gold coins. Top stuff

The original before the movie. But the soundtrack isn't bad either, although slightly over-stuffed

Right! I had heard about that…Hm. Well, I think I'd rather watch either of those than this one.

Now I want to see a movie where characters like this literally dive into cocaine.

I'll take your God Help the Girl album 😣

The moment when Taystee is being dragged away and is seemingly the only one to notice what's happening to Poussey, and she yells for her - omg, *that* image is burned in my brain. This episode and the finale and pretty much the whole season has made me angrier and sicker (in the way it meant to) than any other show in

He's in everything! He reminds me of the most annoying theater kids I went to school with, though, so I am always very unpleased to see him.

Trying to figure out the "next time"s is way too much fun for me. I guess the next collaboration will be Pedro Almodovar and Penelope Cruz. Hopefully not Woody Allen and anybody else

Reading the general obnoxiousness and indignation over a "fluff piece" like this in the comments here is really exhausting. That said, I actually worked at a McDonald's (a suburban one, I'm sure metropolitan ones have bigger issues than ours) on the overnight shift, sometimes morning shift, for two summers and we had

That sounds awesome, thank you! I'm definitely going to seek that one out

I already own four of these, which makes me feel justified in my random reading choices. I will say Please Kill Me is one of my absolute favorite books, nonfiction or otherwise. I first read it in high school after hearing it recommended through Jess on Gilmore Girls, which is only a little embarrassing. The book is

I saw "National Treasure" with my family when I was 10, and I loved it. I think it's great for kids, and at the time it really inspired an excitement about learning that wasn't there with a lot of movies I saw. I understand on a logical level now that the film isn't very complex or impressively cinematic, but I think

Wow, I forgot about Timeline! That film and National Treasure, coincidentally, were both films I saw around age 10/11 that got me interested in history, in at least some capacity. So good on them for that!

I'm definitely hoping Michael lives (because, like the reviewer says, it might just be a bit too dark/cruel for the show to kill him NOW) but I also get the feeling they might do an amnesia thing. How someone gets amnesia from a shot to the heart, I don't know, but that's what's great about telenovela twists.

Blue Velvet would be amazing! And I think if anyone sees 2001 in the theater, they would have to say it's one of their best experiences.. those other people just haven't seen it yet!

That's hilarious and dark, love it.

Most of my favorite theater experiences were seeing old films in special one-off nights in the theater. The absolute best were two Kubrick films: 2001, and A Clockwork Orange. I can't really recommend seeing 2001 in any other way, and I saw ACO for the first time in that theater, which was great because otherwise I

I guess I can see that in some instances.. idk I think I've struggled with the friendships on the show in general because Dunham seems to insist on the idea that best friends basically really love but really hate each other? (Jessa said something to that effect in the fight, too) Which I can't personally connect with.
