Absolutely agree. It was also a different format. The nerds acting like this completely different show somehow ruins the "legacy" is baffling. But I guess bitches gon' bitch.

Love that Teen Titans Go! is incorporating footage from the original Teen Titans series (with new goofy dialogue), just to seemingly troll all the man-boy haters.

Wasn't 1982 great?

I never viewed that movie in that context but goddamn you're right on with that perspective!

Billy "no news" Hughes.

"Don't touch my Jesus."

I'll take kung fu Busta Rhymes over hillbilly Michael Myers anyday. Not sure who it was that pushed for Rob Zombie and his vision (Malek Akkad or the Weinsteins) but somebody really shit the bed. Granted we're this far into a series (at that point 8 films in) so yeah something a bit different couldn't hurt (or

It was the first episode I saw, so it has a special place in my heart.

Great review, glad to see there'll be more to come. Keep posting em and I'll be sure drop in a enjoy em.

Hail Satan!

I don't recall any "sex" in Suspiria. Some "violence" sure, with plenty of bad writing/acting in between. But yeah, the movie does have some gorgeous photography. I wonder if not ever seeing Suspiria on the big screen makes a difference. Probably not.

That's what I don't understand…how is there a cult of Argento? How can people like Alan Jones and Kim Newman praise him so much? Argento makes the same movie over and over…and they're still boring.

Who does?

I enjoyed Jenny Agutter of Logan's Run.

I agree that had some interesting visuals in the second one but man, there were still so many wrongheaded choices in both movies. Rob Zombie's "sensibilities" are just not suited for Halloween. I remember seeing an interview with him, pre-Halloween remake, and Zombie mentioning how creatively bankrupt remakes are,

True. Yet all of his fans try to throw the old "Well, Tim Burton…Helena Bonham Carter…" argument out there.

I saw the show he's refering to HALLOWEEN: THE INSIDE STORY and it was on the then Biography Channel) and Zombie does come off as a butt hurt little bitch. Wonder what side of the political fence he stands on. I know Johnny Ramone was a hero of his.

All three of their commentaries (ESFNY, THING and BTILC) are classic listens IMHO. Don't know if they did one for Escape From L.A.

Ha, I never thought of that way: Two Thousand Maniacs being akin to an old Disney movie, at least to a degree as you say. Song of the Southern Maniacs.

Yeah, I didn't realize that truism until later as I became more adventurous in my film picks. At the time the bigger boxed movies seemed more sinister. Like the Wizard video covers like Fulci's Zombie and of course H.G. Lewis' catalogue. Oh to be young and naive again.
