Internal article circulated at work today describing how black guys drive a car like this, and white guys drive a car like this.

Am I the only one who, if only for a moment, mistook "Daddy Yankee's" as "Damn Yankees"?

You gotta love that You know if you think about it none of this is actually happening level of denial.

You know what I really like about this is how apparent it is that this misunderstanding really got to Loesch and the NRA. They probably thought this spot was gonna be this PR bonanza for them, a real call to arms…and then it derails spectacularly.

Good Lord in heaven don't mistake that as any sort of defense of Shkeli, but from having seen him on TV for a couple years now I really think the smirking is an anxiety thing. I think it's basically a facial tic that he does when he's nervous.

I can't see Lumpy being fired at this point. They're down to one marquee name in their lineup now, so I think they'll hold onto him as long as they can.

Yes, just this week he claimed that Trump was a better president than Obama because there haven't been any "race riots" under Trump… the glaring implication being that Trump knows how to keep the races in line.

Oh man I'd forgotten all about that. I remember at the time I kept track of how many conservative pundits had made a reference to Sept. 11 not happening, or happening under a Democrat, etc.

After all those years when Fox News was ascending and we wondered what the work conditions there must be like, it's weird to learn that it's so much worse than any of us probably pictured.

Some 10 years ago Jonathan Franzen reviewed an Alice Munro book and made a good and funny point about what if you changed all the titles to Canada, i.e., "Canadian Psycho," "Canadian Pastoral," "In Canada," etc.

As long as we agree that "The Master" was not good, we'll leave it there.

Terrorism's Relevance Lacking

In all fairness he's told that he'll have his ass kicked only if he "comes around." If he merely avoids that location he'll be fine.

Marilyn Manson has to be one of the most sent-up figures in music. He's been made fun of on "Mr. Show," "Strangers with Candy" and "Family Guy"… the last of which was pretty funny, I thought.

"Lemonade and Brownies" was surprisingly awesome. It's a shame that no one would think of that stage of their career when "Sugar Ray" is mentioned.

They were actually an underrated band that was unfairly lumped in with one-hit wonders of the era. Check out followup album "Shapeshifter"… or don't.

I would be curious to know how many people in the crowd are on SSD, for instance.

Everyone Else is Lying to You, but We're Telling You the Truth!*

“No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true.”
- Nathaniel Hawthorne… by way of "The Sopranos"

I remember in the late '90s reading the most coherent conversation an AI unit had had up to that point. The conversation was with a human.
