I enjoyed the smug satisfaction, and the character's lineage going from Segarra to Christian Bale to soulless Tom Cruise.

I thought most contracts end with season 6, then they'll renegotiate? Either way, as long as the actors are willing, the show will continue, regardless of ratings fluctuation. They have a sweet deal with Netflix, and can maintain a small but devoted audience for over a decade (as with Supernatural).
