When I look back at how absolutely atrocious 3x22 and 4x22 were (3x22 especially; like you're really going to kill your entire supporting cast in one fell swoop? Zero points for believability), it was actually very nice to get a few good character beats and some actual *happy moments* before the chess pieces all went

Malcolm Merlyn has always been the King of Biting One-Liners about Oliver. I will never forget season 3's "handsome, but not very bright" comment. I wanted that as my ring tone.

CBS, the network of people with no standards.

Maybe one of these days we'll get a decent representation? Oh well, I guess Abed is one in a million.

Everything's just not funny by default.

See, I would totally go for a Young Abed show produced by Dan Harmon. At least he had respect for his characters, instead of making them a punchline. And he'd own the sh-t out of the Wonder Years tropes.

Maybe the entire city gets Starz illegally!

But he had the Jesus flashback wig! There's enough hair to paste to his chin, isn't there?

She still thinks the blood lust is a thing, or at least she still feels guilt about.

It's why classic Captain Cold and Heat Wave were so fun—they played off each other really well.

At least Rodrigo Santoro got a chance to redeem himself on Westworld. I make the comment "he was Paulo on Lost and redeemed himself on Westworld!" every time he appears on screen.

I never watched either show, but will do so now based on your descriptions. Good job! Gold star!

    Hannibal did everything better.

Yeah, he didn't really do it for me until he went full-on revealed Bad Guy.

I'm @ ing at you for all the right reasons! And yes, Oliver was acting particularly dense this episode, but it was worth it for Thea to get a moment to shine.

The season 2 finale of Buffy is legendary. No weapons, no friends, what's left? Buffy herself. I think the DCTV writers should do a re-watch.

Well, they did base their original marketing campaign for Arrow entirely on Stephen Amell's abs.

She's a Tisch graduate so she has the acting chops for whatever they think up for her. All in all, I am delighted by her place on the team (and totally girl-crushing on Juliana; not quite the girl-crush I have on Candice Patton, but close).

Maybe we're expected to think Oliver always rationalized Robert's killing the guy in the lifeboat as a drastic, life or death decision? While the other guy is a case of premeditation.

It's reruns of Perfect Strangers, except he hasn't seen The Leftovers so he doesn't get the joke.
