I love that this generation of games — particularly platformers — is drawing inspiration from a wider set of animations: stop motion, claymation, puppetry, cel, silhouette etc. I see it as much of a reaction against the hyper-realistic, uncanny valley representations we are getting in a lot of AAA gaming, but it ties

I'd really, really appreciate it if you could put in the stray observations bit, 'things to watch if you have the show on TIVO'. I can't be arsed watching the whole show, but I don't mind watching the matches and bits worth watching. So this week: the opening promo, the Miz TV segment, and which matches?

No, I'm glad she's doing it, and I suppose they're a decent enough starting point for textual analysis. Seriously, though, why does it generate the hate that it does: pointing out that some games are sometimes textually sexist is about as obvious as you can get.

My issue with these videos is that they're so blindly obvious and banal that I think it's barely worth mentioning. And then I read the comments, and wonder how such a blindingly obvious set of observations generates quite so much venom.

The Undertaker has been one of the smartest - if not the smartest - at protecting his gimmick. He pushed for the American Bad Ass for a reason, and that was because the version he had been running as in the 90s needed a rest. He had some solid matches with it, gave himself a voice and then returned hotter than ever in

There's been rumours that he might return, and it was a lighthearted suggestion. Sheesh.

Hush. Unrealistic expectations followed by crushing disappointment is how I experience being a wrestling fan.

Are they actually going with a Bryan vs Lesnar main event? Are they actually going to go through with it??

Do you mean to tell me that a man with a low IQ who spent most of his adult life in prison might not communicate with the outside world particularly well?

I'll watch it, and I have a pretty solid group with whom I watch PPVs which makes it more fun than they often are, and that match is the standout. But it feels like it has been chucked together on RAW, rather than an important event match. Let's hope they let them go twenty + minutes and are able to make up for the

Good point. I once sat with a group where two men bickered about a rule for about twenty minutes. My constant request to 'pick a rule and run with it, it really doesn't matter that much' was met with a shocked indignation that someone dare not bow down to the RULE BOOK.

Can someone let me know when this becomes watchable again. League of Nations? Fuck off. I miss really looking forward to wrestling. Stop teasing me. Build a proper tag division. Build a proper midcard. Build a proper women's division. I don't even look forward to PPVs anymore.

What if they just cheer the ECW stuff, though?

Often the problem with getting people to play a new game is because, generally, speaking, people are AWFUL at explaining the rules of a game (and I include myself in that). People get sidetracked by sub-rules and sub-rules before even explaining the objective, get lost, have to consult the rule book, get lost again,

Arkham Horror is pretty brutal, though, even for people who play a lot of board games.

Isn't Eldritch Horror the compressed Arkham Horror. With that said, that still runs for 2-4 hours!

I am tempted but there is too much to play. And in all honesty, there'll be another 'complete package' along next Christmas for the same price and enough content to keep me occupied for more than a few weeks.

I wonder if she's got a book out?
