Oh you and me both. I was all in, in the beginning. I could rationalize these small deviations and I definitely did! But lately, this character doesn't even resemble the Lucifer of the first season let alone the comic. Like I said, I could make a list of the ways they're diminishing him, usually for no other reason

I think she was an integral part of the story. Otherwise, we'd never really know what Lucifer's thinking. She's his conscience manifest.

yeah, well season one wasn't stupid. Season 2 is becoming ridiculously campy. :(

what? every case helped define Lucifer and contributed to his growth by teaching him one lesson or another. Not a typical procedural at all, though technially, yes.

yeah, what a bone-headed move that was. A unique show that they could have ridden on for that very reason, but nope. Got rid of it.

So NOT true. Every case contributed to Luciffer's character development. We wouldn't know what we know about him without them. Anyone who thinks it was a stock procedural completely misunderstood the premise. That's just buying into what people were saying who didn't watch or didn't understand it. And we've still got

I don't understand how you can say Season 2 is better than 1. Season 2 is a bit of a hot mess compared to season 1 which was beautifully executed start to finish. It wasn't until season 2 that the mythology started falling apart with the introduction of Mom, and everything that's followed including the ongoing

I'd definitely like to see Maze go back to season one Mazikeen. She can still develop as a person, but a little less ham, little more badass would be great. I loved her season one. I like the Lucifer who's so smart that he uses others schemes against them, but doesn't engage in the same convoluted methods himself. I

Couldn't agree more. :)

She tweeted very recently that she's so glad to havea job (on Lucifer), so that doesn't exactly soud like she's going anywhere. The show may want to make it look like she's leaving in the finale but…

:) Nice to see you! I just started coming here. Good site. I spend most of my time @ http://tvonfire.freeforums…. Lots of Lucifer discussion there, although any show is open to discussion on the main site. Maybe you'll stop in? Such a shame about IMDB. (Jeff Bezos, man.) Anyway, happy to see lively discussion here as

Also agree, really well written recap and review. I'm directing people here from now on.

I saw where your very tame comment about the show feeling off was removed from Spoiler TV's review. That's it for me, not frequenting that site anyore if they employ that kind of censorship. Before it was removed, I was going to reply to you that it also felt "off" to me and I'm an extreme fan of the show so it kills

And considering its Warner Bros who owns the show, and Jerry Bruckheimer producing it, I bet Fox's rights to the show are limited. WB could probably flip the show over to their own CW network if Fox decided to cancel the show. That's how WB operates. But if Lucifer makes it to 100 episodes and syndication, then they

What are you talking about? Fox doesn't own Lucifer. Warner Bros owns DC who owns Lucifer. They're still creating comics. WB/DC sold the rights to this one show to Fox, but it doesn't give them rights to the intellectual property.

There's far more evidence that the marriage never happened, and that's what most viewers and reviewers thought, based on everything I've read and seen. If true, he outright lied. Either way, he's more than a hypocrite because of how strongly he proclaimed to Chloe that he was married, monogamous, and took the

Oh, and even if he did marry Candy, his "truthfulness" with Chloe was really disingenuous as he had no intention of staying married or taking those vows seriously. If I were Chloe, I'd believe he lied to me. If he were a normal man, I might give him a pass if he had good reason, but he's Lucifer bloody Morningstar,

It's always possible, but not much evidence. A lot of if this, then that kind of reasoning to get there. There's more evidence that they never were married. But like I said, anything's possible and maybe the writers want to pull the rug out from under us again on the marriage thing. They seem to love to torture us. :)

No! Lying about Candy. He said, "Meet Candy Morningstar, my wife". Total lie. He said he was married for 5 days repeatedly and that he takes the vows of marriage "very seriously". All of those things are lies. If I were Chloe, and next week Candy's gone and I realize he put me through all that pain unnecessarily, I'd

Yeah, she really was great and I was sorry to see her go, too, especially when we got to see her real persona. It would be fun if she could work undercover for the LAPD. :)
