Contrived and convoluted as fuck. So 100% the writers of Gotham will green-light this shit if you send it in. Remember us little people at AV Club when you're rich and famous.
=^-^=

Ooh, that would work.

Yeh, I wondered why they didn't anchor it somehow. That would be hard for a 200# muscular adult to hold steady, much less a 12-13 year old kid.

Re: Hilltop
I think you're right in the comic. But I can't remember any spears in the TV show. Talk about things that don't need to be adapted faithfully….

Yes. That's a GOOD twist. Not a twist "for reasons".

OMG I hated that. The entire Gordon storyline was packed with more contrived and trite tropes than you could shake a stick at. So of course Lee will never believe Mario was about to murder her and drama between Gordon will go on, and on.

I think Barbara Non-Gordon has come into her own as a character. I used to hate her, but as long as she's NOT Batgirl's mum or Gordon's wife, I'm okay. Of course that brings us back to who will be Bat Girl's mum. They might just not have a Batgirl in this version of Gotham/Batman.

Oh dear, now I see the problem. I love a good plot twist like the next fan. But emphasis on "good". Plot twists that good are uncommon. Plot twists that are excellent are rare. My gold standard is the twist in L4yer Cak3 (book, not film). Since good plot twists aren't a dime a dozen, it behoves a writer to rely

I was going to say, it worked in the first season and was a great way to info dump. But you got there. ;)
Agree now it's rarely helping, though I maintain Arrow is the worst offender.

Rumple was my favourite character, then after Neal died the writers lost the plot.
I have been hoping this season he was secretly trying to get the shears to sever his own fate, so he could be free of the Dark One. That would have brought depth and genuineness back to his character. But no, the writers are still

Which is really really dumb? Mind, it's possible they acquired or stole those guns later.

If anyone deserves to join the writing team, it's you. Mind, you'll have to find a way of to get rid of Gimple. I suggest poison.

Okay. But I don't see how these threats have not already been acknowledged, multiple times in the course of the show.

The Termites might disagree with you. She counted as a whole army of characters. =^-^=

I like this too. The relently nilism got old, and I suspect even Kirlman got tired of it. Yes, the world is shit, but if we're going to live, lets make something of it. Then we got the Whisperers, an interesting but badly thought out antagonist. Sigh. Yah know, at this point one doesn't need a violent enemy to

Except for the bit about killing boys over 10- 12(forget exactly)

This is possibly the most effectively competent group the show has ever shown us, given their minimum resources. They have thought everything through and are not fucking around.

I would say by their actions they were plenty affirmative of female agency. For instance not once did they opine the lack of "men". They were just mourning their brothers, hubbys and kids getting murdered, as people they cared about, not as "mens". So I'm not sure how much more they could "affirm" their agency
