Yes, but that's because you are "evil" and you take unholy delight in "consternation". ;P

OTOH it's not resolving a plot point like this that makes a show lightweight. I'm glad they're stepping in that direction.

And haven't they established certain things about Ross already? I don't mind them expanding that—her doing her batman/spy thing when she's not making flags—but they should have built on what they've told us before.

I wouldn't put them in the same boat.

Sorry, but the monster of the week guy looked like Darth Sidious having a bad hair day.

Yeh, I thought the review was a little heavy handed. It could be better, sure. But the answer in plain sight has been effective in stories—Gandalf racking his brains for the password to Moria for instance, after he just read it, but only gave the translation out-loud.. Someone could complain, "Well, that's lazy, he

That explains so much…

That's why it makes me nervous. Misplaced ambition is what got us the mess that is Season 3. They should just focus on solid storytelling 101 right now. Maybe they got that memo, and that's why this episode was good. To be a fly on the wall….

I get that feeling too, but I try to be fair and judge the first 5 years as a story arc, making Ellen and Jo's sacrifices part of that arc, not a trend. But Charley comes way after that, so, yeah, that's just annoying. I really liked her character.
The first episode of season 11 wasn't bad, though I thought they

Ikr? Like he just somersaulted in place!

I know this is almost a month later, but could you elaborate? I finished binge watching the series a couple weeks back and was quite annoyed Charley was killed off.

I put this down to voice training or lack there of. Just because a woman's speaking/singing voice is high, doesn't mean she can't bellow when needed. I can. All I can figure is someone doesn't want women bellowing even when it makes sense?

Yeh, and they're a bit clearer about why:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, a train with a BOMB is coming! Evacuate the station now!"

Those contractors knew who they were working for.

I maybe ridiculous, but it was effective.

Yeh, that nagged me. Sleeves give more protection. I think the shiny is some armour-like reinforcement. Course it could be dulled.

Grown on you like mold or some skin disease. God, I hate her, but I know what you mean. She's a good character antagonist. I wish we understood why she has a sadistic streak. The way she's played, her motives are too close to "for the Evulz" and that gets a bit wearing.

It's already better than season 3. Hope it doesn't peak too soon.

Wow, that looks like Oliver Queen in commando make-up and a scary voice modulater!

I had similar reasons to be less than thrilled with the gravescene. The episode was so solid(for Arrow) and it undercuts it. I know they were trying to suspense, but they really shouldn't just yet.
