I hesitate to give this Cobalt plot point acknowledgement, but I can imagine at that point, everyone had decided "screw orders, lets get outta here!"

Aren't we all.

In LA not so much. Need to get out of town, past the burbs. But yeah, they should be stumbling across preppers left and right in the flagship show.

I thought Ophelia was dead too. Making him shooting her even more pointless than it was. But I guess it explains why Madison called Travis off.

Agree about Liza. But then we've noticed FTWD/TWD have trouble recognizing much less exploiting character based drama. Now were back to junkie melodrama and teen angst(to be fair the kids weren't that bad in this ep).

That's the confusing bit. If the soldiers were going to abandon ship, they would care about unauthorized personnel, and our heroes wouldn't didn't need a diversion. *scratches head*

A crossover? How bout with Constantine?

Have you not learned? It can ALWAYS be worse.

", it's obviously a crisis situation and he's just trying to survive so can't the stupid questions and rudeness wait for a bit."

That's an aspect I didn't consider.

I completely understand individuals giving up hope. I was so suspicious of that doctor, but she was for real all along, and I'm pretty sure she was fixing to use that gun on herself. :(

>I think the the fact that the zombie apocalypse is basically a
combination of a health scare and an active threat makes it a different
type of catastrophe

This was pointed out in comments last week . We know exactly how people act in these situations; barring self defence, most people are decent and helpful, and "about 5% are assholes".
I'll add the assholes were assholes before the fill-in the blank apocalypse.

I'm guessing there wasn't time to adapt or do new construction. By the time they knew what they were up against, they already had the GTFO aka Cobalt plan.

I would hardly call that a "process".

Thanks. This show sucks at passage of time/transitions.

That's not a bad explanation.

IKR? I assumed it was abandoned. But no….

Yeah, I was like WTF? You didn't. Because if those were the Zombies from the arena? They spread out in every direction and how do you know they won' cut off a route you need to take? How long did it take to lead them, assuming the were a night stroll away from the house, and how sure could you be they wouldn't

To be fair, it's mostly a couple ass hole officers and the troops are on the verge of panicking themselves. It isn't just the military that has to be incompetent for this to fall apart like this—every single agency from the local hospitals to the CDC have to have bungled this catastrophically for it to even land in
