I never got the AoS hate around here. Whatever unevenness the show had out of the gate was no worse than the first season of Grimm, and a heck of a lot better than Constantine(which I love). It's really done no worse, and a lot better, than most genre shows.

They overdid the time travel plot devices a bit in Voyager, but generally I loved the show. Janeway was awesome. My personal Star trek disappointment was Enterprise. I was so hyped for it and then.. I couldn't stand it after 2? 4? episodes. Oh well, life.

And you also never came across the concept in science magazines, physics literature, causal conversation with professors or peers, science shows, etc?

No, no you shouldn't.

It was entertaining sure, but Rowling herself has said the ministry was corrupt. We have Lucious Malfoy and his revolving door of graft, and how long would it take for the Deatheaters to come up with the idea they could use Time travel to solve all their pesky problems? They don't care about magical laws and all

That's kinda sloppy. Marvel's been doing a pretty good job in that department.

I did find it bothersome that everyone who's timeline will be affected treated it as if it was JUST Barry's choice.
Still less bothersome to watch than the Arrow3 finale.

I was thinking about Janeway all through this episode too:
" Time travel. Since my first day on the job as a Starfleet captain I
swore I'd never let myself get caught in one of these godforsaken
paradoxes - the future is the past, the past is the future, it all gives
me a headache."

There you go, getting my hopes up. Could happen though. It is a trope.

Because the wimmenz don't do science. Wait….

I'm neither a medical doctor nor an astrophysicist. Yet when I heard 'singularity' my next thought was "Oh Shit". It's a concept most nerds/geeks/scifi fans are quite familiar with.

Well, um yeah.. I see no flaw in your logic. Damn. Wish I thought of that.

Yes.

What if it's something artistic?
"Frankly my dear, I don't give a Belgium!"

Guess they really rely on camera angles/careful co-casting. I never thought of Cruise as short.

Will look into it and thanks for the recommendation/warning. If only someone had done with with Dexter…..

Good point. This timey-wimey stuff is tricky.

I thought he might have done, but I couldn't remember. Thanks. It made it seem odd that Victor had to belabor the basic theory. But he did it so well, it's really a minor complaint.

You know, that bipolar homicidal guy who changes his mind about who he wants to kill every two minutes. How he ever stayed in charge of a group of professional killers will forever remain a mystery.

Is there another case of a spinoff exceeding it's parent in quality so early in it's lifespan I wonder?
