The only reason it wouldn't work is the writers would make it NOT work because they're attached to the idea of mysterious assassins and their mysterious vaguely oriental ways. If they took a step back and rethought how a centuries old organization would selectively adopt modern tech, they could come up with something

Well, it does appear that Joker origin was a red herring, so that's something.

Well, they're going after pretty shitty assassins so I guess they cancel each other out.

Any century old Secret League of Whoever would be exploiting the advancements of weapon's technology, if only for self defence from nearby nations. Ditto for information technology. Does Ras even have a cell phone? FFS, the Vatican has a website.

Agreed. Unlike Caity Lotz, the actress playing Lauren hasn't done enough to convince us of her athleticism. She either needs to hit the gym or get a stunt double.

Your no weirder than the rest of us. I enjoy Merlin' character even if I find his morals reprehensible. The problem is the writing. We don't have to live in a world where Merlin is real. Team Arrow does. So they're not going to find him entertaining and their actions should reflect that.

Honestly, the whole "we need to be better and not kill people trying their damnedest to kill us" was a badly thought out moral quandary for the sake of drama. But I agree they should be consistent, or at least address the change of tactics and explain why.

Someone must have said "Miranda".

From what I hear, the writers creative energies were distracted with another project. I suspect they didn't think through many things are are trying to clumsily fix it. Maybe someone else should take over for a while.

As a person who watches both shows, the problem with Gotham comes down to how the characters are drawn, whereas the problems in Constantine comes down to uneven plot and pacing. Constantine himself rocks the house. Very few characters in Gotham can say the same.

While not always the absolute factor, economics seem to dictate shows "on the line". I think it was definately a factor in killing Almost Human which had a better narrative foundation than Constantine, but was expensive. To my mind it's obvious Constantine is a show that will grow into itself like Grimm. Have we

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Constantine must live!

Returning Felicity to her Geekawesomeness is the ideal solution. I fear you may be correct about the writers. It's a sadly frequent thing that happens to female characters: the writers can either imagine her with agency and mad skillz OR as a relationship interest, but have difficulty doing BOTH at the same time.

And what is the "League" of Assassins anyway? A league is usually separate persons or interests part of a single guild/venture/corporation. But the "League" acts more like a private club under dynasty rule.

But with Time travel you don't need the pit. Unless he steals her body as she's dying. Leaving Team Arrow running around looking for Sara's body.

Yeah, the actor sold it best as he could. You could almost forget he was spouting nonsense. Like Samuel Jackson in the Star Wars prequels. But not even the sheer force of his acting talent could salvage the script.

Otherwise known as Unemployable Obsolete Assassins. And technically "ninjitsu" is an art of exploiting everything in your environment. Only Westerners have this weird idea Asian martial artists are hostile to firearms.

Ollie's lack of humour has been a weakness of the show. I don't expect it to be a comedy, but some wit and gallows humor would show he's a well rounded guy with a serious mission but a sense of perspective. The only character who can pull off relentless brooding is the Bat. And after watching both parents gunned

You've got a stroke of genius there if you can pull it off. I can't. Like a friend of mine who also follows the show says watching Arrow is like eating potato chips. Not very filling, but for some reason you can't put the bag down.

Oh what could have been.
