Collen was with the Hand because she thought it was a well-meaning section of it, so she was always on the good side but she was lied to. Its wasn't even Danny who "opened her eyes" with his "desirability and charm", she learned the truth from Bakuto. Which, by the way, might be evil but doesn't look Asian. The Hand

Because Colleen is just the girl Danny banged, it's not like she's a character with her own arc, personality, agency and badassery.

I agree. He had opponents, but ultimately what he needed to do was figure out if he deserved to be the IF (he kinda didn't) , master his power and face the consequences of what he did abandoning K'un Lun (it's gone). The true villains only appear in the very end. An Italian review called the show "a good coming-of-age

Davos is also arguably older and less traumatized (remember the accident we saw about 84 times?) than Danny and ultimately people react to the same things in different ways. In this particular case, Danny's coping is more "pathetic". You might not like the writing, but you find him so because of the writing and not in

While the explanation to Danny's attitude has been delayed for way too long I do feel like there were enough pieces to put together over the course of the previous episodes. Like you said, they have known how to portray those traits.

So because Davos handles emotion in a better way than Danny he can't be a villain? The fact that a villain has good traits makes for a layered, well written character. Otherwise he'd be joke, which is closer to what Harold was.

I completely agree.

I believe we also shouldn't forget Danny has no idea what he his and where he belongs yet. As far as I'm concerned it only makes sense for him to repeat and reiterate things that gives him a sense of identity, however wrong.

Right? IDK, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who paid attention.

Sacha Dhawan I'd be totally down for.

I think it was in this episode that he said he came back to get Rand when he realized that the iron fist didn't "fix" him (which I suppose means it didn't cure his PTSD). Then he got Rand back and that didn't fix him still, because the trauma's still there. So I guess that answer to your doubts.

From an interview I gathered he had some small roles and then was on a soap before he got cast as Ser Loras. Which probably sounds like the worst thing ever, but it's apparently fairly common for British actors to start off in soaps. He also seems to have been the first of his drama school class to get an agent.

I don't think they had him in mind for the get go, they just picked him among others. Loras didn't even annoy me, I just sort of didn't care about him. I liked his performance on IF though.

And tumblr. God, tumblr is the worst. Except I doubt all those people are martial art experts, so I'm quite sure it's about his skin tone.

Thanks for this! I guess if it's a plot hole it's at least one that goes way back.

I guess that could be an explanation! But he seems such an idiot I can't even find him funny.

It's… Weird. The whole Hand part was unwatchable and the dialogue sometimes got cringeworthy. I guess people like it more than IF because Daredevil really sells its fighting scenes (they're great) and overall it's very dark so it can pass as classy and serious but season 1 was a lot better imo. Saving grace: Jon

Not only is he well written, but Sacha Dhawan is a wonderful actor. He played a somewhat similar character in Sherlock 4x01 and he made me actually care for someone I've only seen in half an episode.

I didnt' think of it but it's true. I have to say what worries me the most about TD is that the guys behind Daredevil 2 wrote it.

I found myself thinking the iron fist was an allegory of one's inner strength and capacity to overcome difficulties, which often doesn't come if we're mad or stressed and just can't let go of things. As someone the same age as Danny and stuck in a bad place (luckily not as bad as his) that really resonated with me.
