I think a lot about the script in Daredevil's second season was cliché. Like "You were a mission but I did fall in love with you!" or "We're all heroes because we go through so much!". The saving grace were the performances, especially Bernthal's.

Since The Hand ruined Daredevil I was quite sure from very early on I'd skip this one; but then a combo of poor reviews and SJW outrage over a white guy taking a white guy role persuaded me to give it a shot. I think even Marvel may be using the bad press as a form of promotion at this point.
