Maybe because of the Olympic opening ceremonies are airing tomorrow? Or maybe not.

Btw, is Bismuth the first gem that Steven poofed? That must be pretty traumatic for the kid on top of everything else.

Yes, and we saw that many were shattered just to create the cluster. Knowing more about the war makes what we saw in "Keeping it Together" even more horrific.

They probably thought they had all the time in the world to tell her such things now that they were reunited. Plus, it's sort of their style. See how they reveal lore to Steven since episode 1. Imagine how crushed Garnet and Pearl were when Steven told them what went down in the forge.

Military leaders who were active in a war usually make hard decisions and some times are too deep into the mess to have clarity as to how to best act after the conflict.

This isn't really supported by anything said in the episode…but what if…Rose killed Pink Diamond…using the breaking point. That would have scarred Rose for life and maybe was her own breaking point as to why she couldn't adopt Bismuth's shattering strategy anymore. I know people are not high up on Rose now with the

That and the opening credits with the way they revealed the episode's name were to die for.

I'm assuming one moves a lot more slowly when one is immortal.

If Rose was actually homegrown on Earth, maybe that answers your question as to why Rose singled out humans. Most likely, the only organic beings she was exposed to were humans and other life species on Earth.

I think Rose was limited and really didn't know what she could do with Bismuth. I'd like to think Rose was aware enough to realize her presence was causing all the gems to stagnate. The whole idea of humans being able to grow maybe wasn't just meant to show us she wanted to have Steven to give her gem a chance to grow

No way.

I liked the contrast between the corrupted gem and Lion. The corrupted gem tried to run away, but Jasper just grabbed it and slammed it down to submission again while Lion just went up to Stevonnie and lovingly rubbed his head on her. Also, it's inhumane how Jasper treated those corrupted gems as if they were beasts

And it wasn't the first time the show hinted at Connie caring/obsessing about such things. When she started talking about that, I didn't think it was inorganic. I really agree with your analysis about Connie half-parroting adult things and understanding them, but as fully as she can until she has a bit more life

The more suburban and rural parts of Jersey are nice.

Maybe it'll be a half an hour episode!

Right. I wonder if Greg knew it would be the end of Rose, and if so, I wonder how Rose was able to convince him. The cruel thing would be if Rose and Greg didn't realize having Steven would mean giving up her physical form.

Vidalia didn't think Greg's comment about growing up was relevant to her question about wanting his shirt back, but to Greg it's very relevant. A sign that Vidalia grew up was when she wore her uniform shirt, and Greg decided to grow up and that the next shirt he would put on would be a uniform as well, which is what

You know, based on Greg's look when he first met Rose and how he looked in Lion 3, I just assumed he and Rose had like 10 or so years together before she decided to have Steven. But now it looks like they probably only had a few years of bliss before Steven came along. Even if it was more than a year between Greg, the

I was going to say that. :)

I wonder how far the barn is from Beach City. Greg must be from around the area if not from Beach City or at least has family near Beach City.
