Whenever I tried to comment on my phone (no matter if I switched to my AVC account or created a new one or used the plain Disqus version of this thread), it said that I couldn't post because I was banned by the AV Club. Although now it even works on my phone, so I dunno.

Huh.

This is a test.

If the reports of Lord and Miller circling back to The Flash are true, I wonder if DC will be able to craft more good films out of explicitly spiting Disney and their squeezing out of interesting directors.

Hoyte van Hoytema will be shooting James Gray's sci-fi epic Ad Astra.

Michael Bay's definitive statement as an auteur is and always will be Pain & Gain, there will be no arguments to the contrary.

Oh sure, I just really wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to reference Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist.

It didn't even get Ant-Man'd, it got Superman II'd. Or maybe even Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist'd.

A yup.

The New Adventures of Old Busto or: Car Boyz II Men

Saved You a Click version: Nick and Griffin are working on the successor series to Car Boys.

And now, some honest-to-god good news.

He has directed many great films, but none of those films were released in the last 20 years.

I always like to remind people whenever I get the chance that Ron Howard was seriously going to direct an American remake of Cache. I'd give both everything and nothing at all to see how that would turn out.

This kinda annoys me, tho? It's like asking your mom to buy you Frosted Cheerios and she comes back with the store-brand Oat-Based Cereal.

I think the biggest concerns with this are the larger implications. Like, this straight up confirms what Rogue One merely suggested, that these movies won't live up to their initial hype as letting good talent play in a sandbox. It's such strictly-supervised play that it's not gonna be much fun at all.

Guys, will Bradford Young at least still be shooting this movie? I just want to see gorgeously murky images of space adventures on the big screen, is that too much to ask?

I dunno, if this is anything like Rogue One, I imagine they'll be a lot of junking of existing footage and reshooting to come.

I always like to bring this up whenever I can; remember when Ron Howard was going to remake Cache?
